2023 seems to have seen a lot of delays for AAA games, which is almost certainly one of the most disappointing issues for the gaming community. Diablo IV was no exception, with many fans worried that the big game would once again face release delays. But recently, Blizzard made an announcement that has somewhat reassured fans about the development and release of the latest Diablo game.
Diablo IV has officially 'Gone Gold'.
Shared via Diablo 's official Twitter account, Blizzard has confirmed that initial development on Diablo IV is now complete and has reached Gone Gold status. In preparation for its June release, Blizzard will undoubtedly continue working on the game and there will likely be a major update on launch day.
"Gone Gold is a significant milestone for the Diablo IV development team, who have worked incredibly hard to create the next installment in the Diablo franchise. This is a meaningful step toward our June 6th launch," said Rod Fergusson, Diablo GM, in a press release accompanying the announcement.
Today, Gone Gold is not unfamiliar in the video game industry, with many titles already released or soon to be released. However, Diablo IV 's Gone Gold is an exciting milestone and good news for fans eagerly awaiting its official release on June 6th on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
