As part of the event program “Ca Mau - Destination 2025”, many cultural events will take place in April, such as: Lac Long Quan National Ancestor Gratitude Ceremony, Hung King's Death Anniversary Ceremony, Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea Recognition Ceremony. The activities aim to revive the traditions of the homeland and country, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of Ca Mau province to tourists.

According to the plan, from April 1-3, the program of Gratitude to the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan will take place at Mui Ca Mau Tourist Area (Ngoc Hien district), including a solemn ceremony and a vibrant festival. The festival promises a rich shopping and experience space with activities displaying OCOP products, introducing potential and typical local products; traditional cake making contest, decorating cake trays to offer to the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan; and a vibrant sports atmosphere with competitions: women's volleyball, tug of war, sack race, goal kicking and cockfighting. This is an opportunity for locals and tourists to interact, exercise and immerse themselves in the jubilant festival atmosphere.

The important highlight is the National Ancestor Gratitude Ceremony taking place at 8am on April 3 (March 6th lunar calendar), with traditional and solemn rituals, which will be an opportunity for the community to express their respect and commemorate the great contributions of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, while also educating future generations on the tradition of building and defending the country, and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".

Mr. Tiet Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngoc Hien district, said that preparations for the National Ancestor Gratitude Ceremony are being carried out urgently and thoughtfully. Decorations, celebrations, environmental sanitation, and landscape embellishment are being completed to create a clean, beautiful, and impressive festival space. In particular, the work of ensuring traffic safety and traffic flow during the festival, along with ensuring security and order before, during, and after the festival, is focused on. In addition, medical staff are arranged to be on duty throughout, ensuring health care conditions for delegates, residents, and visitors attending. Food safety and hygiene inspections, price posting, and selling at the right price are also being strengthened to create a safe and civilized festival environment.

The annual Lac Long Quan National Ancestor Gratitude Ceremony is not only a cultural event but also an opportunity to promote the potential and strengths of Ngoc Hien district in particular and Ca Mau province in general. This is an opportunity to introduce the unique traditional cultural activities of the local people, attracting tourists to explore and experience.

In addition, Ca Mau province solemnly organized the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony on April 7 (March 10 of the lunar calendar) at the Hung King Temple in Tan Phu Commune, Thoi Binh District. Accordingly, on April 6, there will be a bustling and joyful festival with folk games (sailing, tug of war, sack jumping, balloon popping) and an art program.

The Hung King Temple in Ca Mau has existed for nearly 200 years. Through many historical ups and downs, the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony has always been respected and solemnly and respectfully maintained by generations of local residents. In 2011, the Hung King Temple in Ca Mau was recognized as a provincial-level Historical - Cultural Relic. From 2021, the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony in Ca Mau has been officially included in the "Ca Mau - Destination" event program.

An important event will take place at the Ben Vam Lung Relic Site (Hamlet 8, Rach Goc Town, Ngoc Hien District) on April 24, which is the Ceremony to Receive the Certificate of Ranking the Special National Relic of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (Ben Vam Lung - Ca Mau Province). The ceremony will include many meaningful activities such as extracurricular activities for members and students at the Ben Vam Lung Relic Site, creating opportunities for the younger generation to learn and be proud of historical traditions. In addition, there will be a solemn incense offering and flower-dropping ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation; and gift-giving activities to pay tribute to families with contributions to the revolution.

Vam Lung - Ca Mau Wharf, one of the four main wharves receiving weapons from the North to the South during the years of resistance against the US to save the country, created the miracle of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea.

The highlight of the ceremony is the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea as a special national monument (Vam Lung Wharf - Ca Mau province), scheduled to take place from 19:00 to 20:30. This is an important event, marking a historical milestone, recognizing the great values ​​of the Vam Lung Wharf Relic in the resistance war against the US to save the country, especially the role of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea. The program will close with a brilliant fireworks display, creating a jubilant and proud festival atmosphere.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Nguyen Minh Luan emphasized that 2025 is a year of great political and social significance, while also evoking deep emotions about the turning point of change in the homeland and the country. Accordingly, the events within the framework of "Ca Mau - Destination 2025" need to be invested in to increase their scale, improve their quality and have impressive highlights. The requirement is that the activities must be organized solemnly, have practical meaning, ensure safety and create a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the hearts of the people.
