The special arts and political commentary program "Spring Road of Vietnam 2026 - Convergence" is produced by the Military Radio and Television Center.

As the media landscape becomes increasingly dense, the role of mainstream journalism is increasingly affirmed in its ability to provide verified information, guide readers, and help prevent them from being swept away by a multitude of information streams.

From that perspective, the 15 years of building and developing the Military Radio and Television Center (the Center) is not only the maturation process of a media agency, but also a persistent process of building a reliable, strong, and humane voice; an anchor of public trust amidst the flow of modern information.

On May 19, 2011, coinciding with the 121st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the Army Radio and Television Center was established through the merger of the Army Radio and Television Departments under the Propaganda Department of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. This was a strategic step in the army's media thinking: converging forces, concentrating resources, and forming a multi-media press unit capable of better meeting the demands of the new situation.

Built upon a foundation of years of accumulated professional experience, political acumen, military discipline, and dedication in a unique environment, the Center, despite its limited resources and challenging conditions, has gradually overcome obstacles to define its own professional style: standardized yet approachable, political yet not rigid, modern yet profound.

More than just a specialized press agency tasked with disseminating information and propaganda on military and defense matters, the Center is also a unique media and cultural institution of the Vietnam People's Army, contributing to shaping social awareness, spreading positive values, and nurturing community emotions. This helps the public better understand the Army, its unwavering commitment to the path towards Socialism, its role in building and defending the Fatherland, and fosters deeper faith in the values being preserved and cultivated every day.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "The unity of our people forms a bronze wall around the Fatherland." That idea remains just as valuable today. The strength of a nation comes not only from its material potential, but also from the people's trust, social consensus, and the strong bond between the Army and the people.

Over the past 15 years, the Center has been present on multiple wavelengths, platforms, and in various public outreach spaces.

The Army Radio program on the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) is where the voices of soldiers continue to spread, leveraging the unique strengths of radio broadcasting: closeness, depth, and enduring impact. The Army Television program on Vietnam Television (VTV) is where military and defense content reaches a wide audience through modern television language.

And in particular, the Vietnam National Defense Television Channel (QPVN) - a specialized media space focusing on military and defense; and also a place reflecting the life, culture, people, and positive values of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in contemporary life.

The Center's media products are diverse, ranging from radio broadcasts and podcasts to news reports, documentaries, educational films, thematic programs, television chronicles, and large-scale cultural and artistic events with audiences reaching tens of thousands; broadcast across multiple platforms, from traditional radio and television to websites and digital platforms. This movement demonstrates the Center's transformation into an integrated media ecosystem, where radio, television, and digital platforms all participate in a common mission: connecting awareness, spreading values, and strengthening public trust.

The Center's workforce consists of individuals who work in journalism while also living in a military environment; they ensure discipline and accuracy while continuously engaging in creative work to deliver the best possible product to the public. They undertake long reporting trips to border areas and islands, amidst storms, floods, and natural disasters. They spend sleepless nights meticulously crafting each frame to tell the public a story with sufficient experience. Words are revised repeatedly to ensure a news report is solid and a feature story is insightful. Signals from the nation's frontline islands are tested multiple times to guarantee a safe and impactful live broadcast. These silent efforts have created the Center's core value: reliability.

In particular, the Center's future path has been paved with very clear strategic directions. At the working session on July 23, 2025, between General Secretary To Lam and the General Political Department, a consensus was reached on the principle of building the Military Radio and Television Center into a leading multi-media communication agency of the Army and the Nation; and simultaneously, to study and report to the Politburo on upgrading the Vietnam National Defense Television Channel into a national strategic backup channel, ready to meet the requirements and tasks in the event of a national defense situation.

This is not only a development direction for a press agency, but also reflects a new vision for the position of military media in the cause of national construction and defense. In the context of increasingly fierce information competition, with cyberspace becoming a crucial front, the country increasingly needs media institutions that are technologically strong, have in-depth content, possess firm political principles, and have broad reach. For the Center, this is both a source of confidence and a great responsibility; requiring continued strong innovation in management thinking, content production models, technological infrastructure, high-quality human resources, and modern media combat capabilities.

From that foundation, the Military Broadcasting and Television Center has the basis to continue moving forward, maintaining its role as a reliable, courageous, and humane voice; not only accompanying the Army and the country in the new media era, but also continuing to be an anchor of public trust amidst today's information flow.
