Tourists walk on the road around Thuy Tien Lake area which has just been built.

After the renovation of Thuy Tien Lake Water Park (Thuy Bang Ward), along with the investment in traffic infrastructure in Thien An Hill, Vong Canh, and Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, in early 2025, visitors and residents coming to the above areas will feel the novelty of the landscape here.

After the Lunar New Year holiday, Thuy Tien Lake Water Park is still bustling and vibrant with many groups of visitors coming to visit, check-in and walk around. Different from the ghostly, deserted look with shabby infrastructure before, Thuy Tien Lake Water Park in particular and Thien An Hill area in general are changing their appearance every day with a paved walking path running along the lake, allowing visitors to freely walk around. In the giant dragon statue area, broken glass and weeds are cleaned up so that visitors can comfortably visit.

“This is the second time my family has come to Hue, visited Thien An hill and was really surprised that this place has become an attractive tourist destination with walking paths surrounding the lake, the Thuy Tien lake area is also cleaner. Currently, some items are still being renovated, so hopefully when we return to Hue in the near future, this area will become an ideal destination for fun and picnics,” said Ms. Minh Ha, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.

In order to change the appearance of Thuy Tien Lake area to attract visitors, in August 2024, the People's Committee of Hue City (old) implemented the project (phase 1) to build walking paths with a total investment of about 20 billion VND. Up to now, all paths in the park longer than 2km have been paved with anti-slip stones; the lighting system for visitors to walk at night has been installed along with the drainage and water supply system... Currently, the project has reached over 80% of the workload. At the same time, studying plans to open refreshment stalls, electric car services, bicycles... at Thuy Tien Lake, making this place a new sightseeing and experience spot in Hue.

According to Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa District, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Bach, in 2025, along with the implementation of key projects according to plan, the district will continue to implement projects to renovate, upgrade, connect urban areas, creating changes in the urban landscape such as the route along the Huong River (south) from Da Vien Bridge to Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street; renovating the Huong River bank combined with the boat dock along Bui Thi Xuan Park; renovating Da Vien sandbank area, Thien An hill, Ru Cha - Con Te area, Hai Duong beach... to gradually complete the infrastructure to attract visitors.
