According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this morning 115,059 candidates took the 10th grade entrance exam in Literature (a participation rate of 99.5%), with 594 absent.
Of these, 2 candidates violated the exam regulations (1 candidate brought a mobile phone into the exam room, and 1 candidate brought unauthorized materials into the exam room).
The total number of examination centers across the city is 201, with 4,477 examination rooms (non-specialized), in addition to 402 reserve examination rooms.
The number of officials, teachers, and staff present was 15,364 (accounting for 99.97%), with 5 invigilators absent. The absent invigilators were replaced by reserve teachers, ensuring compliance with examination regulations.

This afternoon, students will take a 60-minute multiple-choice foreign language test, starting at 2 PM. Tomorrow morning, June 11th, students will complete their final exam, Mathematics, in 120 minutes, starting at 8 AM.
Candidates wishing to enter specialized high schools such as Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, Nguyen Hue High School, or the specialized classes of Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School will take an additional specialized subject exam on June 12th.
This year, over 129,000 students in Hanoi graduated from junior high school. Of these, 104,917 candidates registered for their first choice of public high school (an increase of 1,000 candidates compared to last year), resulting in an average competition ratio of 1/1.79. Last year, the average competition ratio for public high school was 1/1.67, and in 2021 it was 1/1.61. Thus, this year's competition ratio for high school is expected to be the highest in the past three years.
According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Hanoi has the largest number of candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam nationwide, with over 116,000 students registering. Hanoi has established 201 examination centers with nearly 5,000 examination rooms in 30 districts, counties, and towns to serve the candidates.
The entire city has approximately 20,000 officials and teachers involved in invigilating and grading exams. In addition, there are 590 supervisors at the examination sites and over 1,000 police officers and soldiers providing security around the examination areas.
