Diverse business support activities

The An Giang Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, established in 2011, is a voluntary socio-professional organization of young entrepreneurs and a collective member of the Vietnam Youth Union. Following the administrative unit merger, by December 2025, the association had 187 members. Having been involved with the association for many years, Ms. Truong Thanh Thuy – Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union and Deputy Director of the Provincial Youth Activities and Entrepreneurship Center – commented: “The An Giang Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association organizes many networking, training, and workshop programs to enhance members' management capacity, legal knowledge, trade promotion skills, marketing, and digital transformation skills.”

In particular, the 2025 Entrepreneurs' Day became a highlight. The event brought together over 60 businesses with nearly 70 booths showcasing and introducing products, attracting over 20,000 visitors and shoppers, generating total revenue of over 2 billion VND. This served as an effective platform for business networking and contributed to promoting the image of young An Giang businesses to consumers inside and outside the province. Simultaneously, the association actively collaborated with the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and related units to organize business networking programs with the Vietnamese business community in Australia; and the 2025 Southwest Region Private Economic Forum, opening up further opportunities for cooperation and market expansion for member businesses.

Mr. Ly Chan An, Director of Vietravel's Long Xuyen branch, believes that young entrepreneurs possess the strengths of youth, open-mindedness, and ambition. In the future, besides meeting each other at the Young Entrepreneurs Association, a movement should be launched called "An Giang Young Entrepreneurs Association members prioritize using each other's products," with specific commitments on discounts and quality, creating a significant synergy. "On the other hand, many young businesses in the province are struggling with the questions: 'Where to start digital transformation?' and 'How to achieve green standards?' I propose that the association gather experts and members strong in technology and legal matters, and proceed to establish a volunteer consulting team, organizing 'business diagnostics' to solve operational problems and optimize costs using technology for members," Mr. Ly Chan An suggested.

Spreading the spirit of social responsibility

Beyond focusing on business development, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association always emphasizes the social responsibility of entrepreneurs. In 2025, many meaningful social welfare programs were implemented, with a total budget of hundreds of millions of VND. The Association donated many Tet gifts to people and students in difficult circumstances; supported the construction of solidarity houses; organized free medical examinations, treatment, and medicine distribution; awarded "Continuing the Journey to School" gifts to poor students; and organized Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for children in disadvantaged areas. These activities contribute to caring for the lives of the people, spreading the image of dynamic, compassionate young entrepreneurs in An Giang, closely connected to the community, in line with the spirit of "business development linked with social responsibility".

One of the highlights of the association in 2025 was its close coordination with the Provincial Youth Union and relevant units in supporting youth entrepreneurship. A series of programs including career counseling, entrepreneurship guidance, training in digital transformation, and dialogue forums between young entrepreneurs and students/young entrepreneurs were organized, attracting thousands of members and young people. Notably, the association provided professional support for the 9th Creative Entrepreneurship Ideas Competition in 2025, with 37 participating ideas and projects, mainly focusing on agriculture, green products, and new technologies linked to local characteristics. This contributed to nurturing feasible entrepreneurial ideas that would contribute to local economic development.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of An Giang province, entering 2026, the Association aims to continue developing its organization, striving to recruit approximately 50 new members, while strengthening financial resources and improving the quality of its activities. Many key programs have been developed, such as organizing large-scale business networking events, training to enhance management capacity for young entrepreneurs, holding meetings and dialogues with entrepreneurs, promoting trade, and attracting investment. “In addition, the association will continue to promote charitable activities, care for social welfare, and support young entrepreneurs, contributing to building a team of young entrepreneurs in An Giang who are courageous, responsible, creative, and integrated,” Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh stated.

With 14 major tasks clearly defined, members have agreed on a specific action plan for the new year. The Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association has the opportunity to further strengthen its role as a key connector of the young business community, contributing to the promotion of local economic development in a dynamic, sustainable, and humane direction.

The Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association hopes its members will participate in diplomatic, economic, and trade promotion meetings with foreign elements to enhance their international exchange capabilities; and participate more deeply in the process of trade promotion and business networking to develop the economy in the province. The Department of Science and Technology supports the building and development of brands, protects the intellectual property of entrepreneurs and businesses; encourages the development of initiatives and innovations, the application of many new products, and the use of high technology to meet the requirements of the consumer market.
