Along the streets, tourists can easily spot illuminated models depicting images of President Ho Chi Minh with children, the Tan Trao banyan tree - an immortal symbol of the revolution, or the legend of Hoan Kiem Lake associated with the aspiration for independence and freedom.
Along with that are dozens of familiar fairy tale models such as Thach Sanh, Tam Cam, Cinderella, the Little Mermaid… allowing children to live in a magical world, rich in entertainment and full of educational value.

The local people are also the artisans who make Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns.

What's commendable about Tuyen Quang is that the neighborhood groups are the ones responsible for making the lanterns. Each group chooses a model and assigns specific tasks: the older people come up with ideas and guide the younger generation in building the frames and completing the lanterns, while the children help everyone make them.
Hoang Manh Cuong, a young man living in Minh Xuan Ward (Tuyen Quang), said that the entire neighborhood considers making lanterns a way to bond.
"Everyone was excited, from adults to children. Thanks to the well- organized event, the festival was both fun and helped maintain academic discipline for the children," Mr. Cuong said.

Besides folk animal models, artisans also incorporate historical stories into the lanterns, instilling a sense of patriotism in children.

Behind the splendor of the festival lies the love and dedication of the people of Tuyen Quang. They spend months preparing, considering it both a responsibility and a source of pride in nurturing the younger generation.
Not only for children in Tuyen Quang, the festival has now become an exciting gathering place for children from all over the country. On weekends, thousands of visitors from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, and even from the South bring their children to Tuyen Quang to admire the festival.
Children are immersed in a fairytale atmosphere, while parents experience community bonding and the tradition of studiousness and respect for elders in this revolutionary land.

Ms. Thu Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "We brought our children to Tuyen Quang to see the lantern festival firsthand. The children loved it because they got to see images of President Ho Chi Minh, the Tan Trao banyan tree, and fairy tale characters. This is truly a rewarding experience that can't be found anywhere else."
