Through four working sessions, the congress adopted a spirit of speed, economy, focus, and substance. This momentum compelled each delegate from across the country who came to Hanoi to truly innovate and be dynamic, reflecting the rapid operation and changes of society.
After a year of restructuring and streamlining the organization, many requirements have arisen that the Youth Union needs to consider thoroughly, given the vast and diverse scope of activities involving many young people.
The Youth Union needs governance models that are appropriate for each area of operation, additional solutions to promote effective work at the grassroots level, and management decentralization that is truly suitable to the scale and creativity of each group of young people.
In his article "Youth and the Future of the Nation" on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Youth Union on March 26th this year, General Secretary and President To Lam conveyed the following message to Vietnamese youth: "Patriotism in the new era is not only expressed through emotions but must also be expressed through knowledge, capacity for action, the spirit of conquering new heights of science and technology , and the will to master the future of the nation."
This is not just a reminder, but also the spirit of action required at this Youth Union Congress. The 95-year journey of the Youth Union remains a source of pride for generations of young people. Therefore, the requirement to continue innovating thinking and operational processes to become more efficient and effective must be the top priority to enhance the prestige and quality of the Youth Union's movement.
Strongly reforming the working methods of the Youth Union to suit the new organizational model has become one of the breakthrough tasks identified by the congress.
Vietnamese youth are currently situated in a context of rapid national change, with increasing demands for socio -economic development and specific goals that the Youth Union cannot ignore.
Besides powerful slogans, the need to concretize and realize the policies, strategies, and objectives of localities and units always requires the Youth Union to work together through projects and programs linked to indicators for evaluating effectiveness.
Looking further ahead, we have the right to expect that key projects and initiatives, created by the Youth Union and Vietnamese youth through objective data, will rightfully contribute to the country's sustainable development journey.
It also requires a shift in thinking about how to initiate movements and approach young people. To be more accessible and impactful, the Youth Union's activities need values that resonate deeply with human emotions.
These programs and events should not be merely fleeting pleasures or transient emotions, but rather serve as a means of nurturing the emotions of young people.
To achieve this, every Youth Union official must truly be a good listener and be wholeheartedly committed to the messages they want to convey through each movement.
The 13th National Congress not only ushered in a new term but also marked a milestone affirming the Youth Union's strong commitment to reform in response to the country's development demands in the new era.
Innovation is not just about organizational models, operating methods, or specific targets. It needs to begin with a mindset of serving young people, with the ability to listen, understand, and accompany them on their journey to maturity and building their future.
