On the morning of June 30th, immediately after the fourth night of competition between China and Finland, the DIFF 2024 Organizing Committee convened the judging panel to select the two teams for the final round. The judging panel consisted of renowned musicians and artists, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam, and was advised by Global 2000 Company.
DIFF 2024 featured eight competing teams from the USA, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland, China, and Vietnam. Over four exciting and dramatic nights, each team successfully showcased their fireworks display, each with their own unique techniques and style, without significant differences in quality.

After three hours of judging, based on the scores given by the judging panel during the qualifying rounds, and with input from consulting firms, the judging panel officially announced that Finland and China have become the two best teams to compete in the DIFF 2024 finals.

This result is based on a rigorous scoring criteria including: originality, design ideas and adaptation to the performance theme; diversity and richness of effects and color intensity; synchronization between music and performance; the ending and overall impression of the performance; and the emotions and evaluation of the judges.

“We feel sorry for the other very strong and creative teams like Italy or France, with very little difference in quality, but we can't bring all the teams to the finals,” shared musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, a member of the judging panel.

Immediately after the announcement ceremony, Sun Group will invite the two winning teams back to Vietnam, continue to provide fireworks and technical support to ensure the most memorable competition night of the DIFF 2024 season.
The DIFF 2024 prize system includes: the winning team receives a prize of USD 20,000 along with a trophy and certificate; the runner-up team receives a prize of USD 10,000 along with a trophy and certificate.

In addition, this year there is also an award for the most favorite team (voted by the audience) with a prize of $5,000. The organizers have also added a Creative Award for competing teams with a prize of $5,000 and a certificate.
The awards will be announced and presented immediately after the performances conclude on the final night, July 13th.
