The road in Khun village, Bang Lang commune, was invested in and upgraded using funds from the national target program.

In 2025, through funding from the national target program on New Rural Development, Bang Lang commune was allocated over 1.4 billion VND to maintain and repair the asphalt road leading to Trung Thanh village; renovate the cultural house and sports area in Tan Chang village; and construct a concrete road from Provincial Road 183 to Khun village. All projects were completed on schedule, with a 100% disbursement rate, creating important momentum for the commune to continue improving the criteria for transportation and culture in New Rural Development.

Mr. Nong Van Hoang, Head of Khun village, shared: “The village's concrete road is 2 km long, upgraded and widened to 5m, and construction started in February 2025, with a total investment of over 1.6 billion VND. Of that, the State budget supported more than 1.1 billion VND, and the rest was contributed by the people and organizations.”

In addition, using funds from the socio -economic development program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the commune implemented a project to link the production and consumption of purebred H'Mông black chickens. The project received over 2.3 billion VND in support, focusing on 15 poor and near-poor households, with a total breeding scale of 9,000 chickens. After implementation, the project yielded significant results: chickens raised for 6 months were sold, reaching a weight of 1.8 - 2.2 kg/chicken; the selling price reached 100,000 VND/kg; some households with larger farms earned an average profit of approximately 20 - 40 million VND.

Comrade Hoang Van Tim, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bang Lang commune, said: “Currently, the commune is implementing a project to diversify livelihoods and develop poverty reduction models such as buffalo and pig farming under the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction, with a total budget of nearly 800 million VND. At the same time, we are conducting a comprehensive review and evaluation of all programs to build a suitable implementation roadmap. The commune will maintain the effective integration of capital sources, encourage people to develop production towards a commodity-oriented approach, and strengthen inspection of projects to ensure quality and maximize the effectiveness of investment.”

It can be affirmed that funding from the three national target programs has contributed to changing the face of rural and mountainous areas, narrowing the development gap between Bang Lang commune and neighboring areas, commensurate with the potential and strengths of the locality.
