
National Festival in the Co Ma highlands
Along with voters nationwide, on the morning of March 15th, people in the mountainous area of Co Ma commune, Son La province, enthusiastically went to the polls to elect representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
From early morning, in the polling areas of Co Ma commune, where up to 90% of the population are ethnic Mong people, a large number of voters from the Mong, Thai, Khmu, and Kinh ethnic groups, dressed in vibrant traditional costumes, were present at the polling stations to exercise their rights and civic duties. The election atmosphere in the highlands was lively, with voters excited by flags, banners, and the meticulous preparations of the polling stations.
At polling station No. 1 in Co Ma village (Co Ma commune), immediately after the opening ceremony, voters proceeded to inspect the ballot boxes, receive their ballots, and cast their votes according to regulations; notably, many elderly voters and respected community members arrived at the polling station early.

Ms. Vang Thi Na, a Mong ethnic woman from Co Ma village, happily shared: "Due to the remote location and difficult roads, I and other villagers went to vote very early. We hope to elect outstanding People's Council representatives who will represent the voice and aspirations of the people and contribute to the socio -economic development of the locality, so that the people of Co Ma commune can have a prosperous and happy life."
Voter Va Thi Do, of the Mong ethnic group, from Pha Khuong village, expressed: “We came here together at 5 a.m. to vote for representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. We hope to elect outstanding representatives to represent the people, to develop the local economy, culture, and society, and to ensure a prosperous and happy life for the people.”
On election morning, the Youth Union forces, polling stations, and local authorities of Co Ma commune assisted and guided voters in carrying out the voting procedures correctly, creating favorable conditions for the elderly and people with disabilities to participate in the election.

Mr. Ly A Chu, Chairman of the People's Committee and Chairman of the Election Committee of Co Ma commune, said that the commune has a total of 8,934 voters participating in the election at 16 polling stations. Recognizing this as a particularly important political task, the commune government has meticulously prepared for the election and actively implemented various forms of election propaganda at the polling stations.
As of 8:00 AM on March 15th, voter turnout reached 42.39%. The election process was conducted in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy, safety, and convenience.
The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is a significant political event, a national festival, allowing voters to choose outstanding representatives who will reflect the will and aspirations of the people. The trust and expectations of voters in the Co Ma highland region are embodied in each ballot, with the hope of electing representatives who possess the necessary qualities, capabilities, and responsibility to represent the voice of the people and contribute to the development of their homeland and country.

On the morning of March 15th, amidst the joyful atmosphere of the nationwide "National Election Day," people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province, from the majestic villages of the Central Highlands to urban areas and coastal border regions, set aside all their work to exercise their right and duty to vote for representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Through their ballots, voters in Dak Lak province place their full hope in the elected representatives, expecting them to utilize their intellect and leadership in every decision to realize the goal of building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
According to a TTXVN reporter's observations in Tuôr hamlet, Hòa Phú commune (Polling area No. 25), from 6 a.m. on March 5th, the resounding sounds of gongs and drums echoed across the courtyard of the community cultural center. Amidst the lively gong and drum music, the villagers were all eagerly anticipating this important political event for the country.

Mr. Y Wer Ktul, head of Tuôr village, Hòa Phú commune, said: "The entire village has 130 households with 430 voters, all of whom are ethnic minorities. The villagers are extremely excited on election day, so from early morning they gathered to play gongs and drums amidst flags and flowers to invite people to participate in the election."
According to Mr. Y Wer Ktul, before the election day, the people had researched the candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, especially their action programs aimed at promoting socio-economic development and improving people's lives. Each vote represents their trust in the elected representatives who will represent the will and aspirations of the people, pay more attention to agricultural economic development, preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, and improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Taking advantage of the opportunity to vote early before heading to the pepper plantation to harvest, Mrs. H. Buôn Ktul from Tuôr hamlet, Hòa Phú commune, shared that the villagers place high hopes on the National Assembly representatives and People's Council representatives at all levels. These are the "bridges" between voters and the parliament, where important decisions are made for the rapid and sustainable development of the country. Therefore, voting is not only a right and a duty, but also an expression of the voters' trust and expectations for the candidates.

Along with the vibrant atmosphere in the Central Highlands villages, in the province's urban areas, voters also arrived at polling stations early to exercise their rights and civic duties.
According to observations by a Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reporter in Phu Dong 6 neighborhood (Polling Station No. 17, Phu Yen ward) with 1,700 voters, 75% of whom are offshore fishermen, the fishermen took advantage of the early morning to cast their votes so they could continue their fishing trips at sea.
As the first person to cast his vote at polling station number 17, Phu Yen ward, voter Luong Nam from Phu Dong 6 neighborhood shared: He and other fishermen are very interested in the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; they hope that the elected representatives will contribute their voices and propose practical policies to promote the socio-economic development of the locality, especially for the fishing community closely associated with the sea. In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, after completing the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units and implementing the two-tiered local government model, voters expect the elected representatives to have policies that are appropriate to the reality, creating momentum for the development of Dak Lak province.
Mr. Tran Duc Chon, Secretary of the Party Branch of Phu Dong 6 residential area, Phu Yen ward, said: Phu Dong 6 is a residential area with a high concentration of fishermen who fish for ocean tuna in the ward. Currently, it is the fishing season, so the local authorities are strengthening propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage fishermen to proactively arrange their fishing schedules and participate in the election. On the morning of March 15th, voters in the residential area eagerly and enthusiastically arrived at the polling station early, learned about the candidates' biographies, and completed the election to continue their fishing work.

According to reporters' observations on the roads leading to polling stations, traffic police have also increased patrols and traffic control to create the best conditions for voters to travel and participate in the election; at the same time, they are ready with plans to respond to any situation on election day.
The election atmosphere in Dak Lak province continues to be vibrant, safe, and in accordance with the law. The unity and enthusiasm of voters from villages to towns are contributing to the success of this "National Election Day," affirming the strength of the great national unity of Dak Lak province in the new era of national development.
Previously, on March 14th, voters in many units of the armed forces of Dak Lak Provincial Police and the Provincial Military Command cast their ballots for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term at 11 polling stations. On March 15th, the provincial armed forces carried out tasks to ensure security and order, providing absolute safety during the organization of the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The entire Dak Lak province has more than 2.4 million voters with 2,119 polling stations and 2,118 election teams.
