Diverse activities
The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association recently collaborated to organize the "Mind Care - Mental Support Station 2026" event, accompanying students in the crucial final stages before important exams. Beyond providing information, the program also offered a diverse range of interactive activities to help students relieve stress, balance their emotions, and strengthen their mental resilience before the exam season.
A highlight of the program is the combination of in-person activities and technology applications. The podcast-livestream series "Learning While Chilling" has become a close bridge between students and experts and ambassadors, providing useful insights on learning methods, career guidance, and spreading positive energy.
Simultaneously, the "Exam Support" website was developed, creating a comprehensive learning support platform, providing a rich collection of study materials; practice exams closely following the exam structure; integrating an AI assistant for 24/7 support; continuously updating admissions information; and connecting with top-scoring students nationwide. This contributes to caring for students' mental health, equipping them with necessary skills, maintaining their composure, and maximizing their potential during the exam.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Van Thoai High School (Hoa Xuan Ward) has 379 students participating in the high school graduation exam. After reviewing their academic results, the school proactively organized intensive review classes for students at risk of failing certain subjects. Teachers focused on systematically reviewing fundamental knowledge, helping students consolidate core content, gradually regain confidence, and ensure safe scores.
The classes are conducted on a voluntary basis, with close coordination between the school and students' families for effective monitoring and support. The school library has been invested in and supplemented with many new reference materials, promoting the digitization of learning resources, creating favorable conditions for students to easily access, research, and review in a more convenient and effective learning environment.
According to Mr. Le Manh Tan, Vice Principal of Nguyen Van Thoai High School, the school pays special attention to school psychological counseling. Accordingly, the School Psychological Counseling and Social Work Team, consisting of 38 members with the direct participation of the school's management board, is always ready to support and accompany students in preparing for important exams.

Proactive support
These days, the City Youth Union is implementing a comprehensive range of activities to prepare for the 2026 "Supporting Students During Exams" program, demonstrating proactiveness and an early commitment. The focus is on boosting communication on digital platforms, bringing information closer to students citywide; and introducing innovative and effective support models. The program's portal is being enhanced with promotion and integrated with an automated counseling system using chatbots and artificial intelligence (AI), contributing to quick and convenient support for students.
In addition, efforts to mobilize social resources were emphasized through securing scholarships for disadvantaged candidates, providing learning materials, coordinating the distribution of exam-related materials, and organizing career guidance programs. Many reputable online study channels were also introduced, along with the posting of review videos on the Youth Union and Student Association's platforms.
The City Youth Union established a "Digital Volunteer Team - Supporting the Exam Season" tasked with receiving and compiling support needs from candidates, classifying them, and developing appropriate plans; while also reviewing cases of hardship to provide timely assistance. Health care before the exam was also prioritized through communication activities, nutritional counseling, distribution of disease prevention handbooks, provision of medicine and essential products, and the development of epidemic prevention plans at exam locations with a high concentration of candidates.
In addition, modern media products such as short clips and podcasts are being implemented to create a sense of closeness, help reduce pressure, and provide motivation for candidates during the review period. The Youth Union also publishes publications such as "Boosting Emotions," equipping students with skills to master their psychology and maintain confidence before the exam; and proactively reviews and develops support plans for students in remote areas and those in particularly difficult circumstances such as orphans, people with disabilities, and those from poor or near-poor households.
According to Le Cong Hung, Secretary of the City Youth Union, during the exam period, volunteer forces will closely coordinate with local authorities and medical facilities to monitor the situation of candidates and proactively develop plans to handle any unusual incidents. In addition, they will provide free transportation for candidates with special circumstances; coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly prevent the distribution of illegal materials; and guide, direct, and ensure traffic safety at exam sites. In the future, the City Youth Union will provide systematic training in knowledge and skills for volunteer forces, linked to surveys of actual needs in each area; thereby developing appropriate and effective organizational plans.
