(NLĐO) – Both analysts and investors predict that gold prices will continue to rise today, even though they are already at an all-time high.

On February 9th, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by some businesses in Ho Chi Minh City at 86.8 million VND/ounce for buying and 90.3 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 1.5 million VND/ounce compared to the end of last week. The price of gold bars continues to maintain its high level for several months, after a week of significant fluctuations following the Tet holiday and the God of Wealth Day.

Similarly, the price of gold rings and 99.99% pure gold jewelry also marked a fairly active trading week. Gold ring prices were listed by businesses at 86.8 million VND/ounce for buying and 89.9 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 1.1 million VND/ounce compared to the end of the previous week.

SJC gold bar prices experienced significant fluctuations this week.

Domestic gold prices fluctuated sharply last week. Businesses bought gold bars and gold rings at the same price, while selling SJC gold bars at a higher price. The buy-sell spread also widened to a very high level of 3.5 million VND/ounce.

Today's gold prices are fluctuating due to the influence of global prices. On the international market, the precious metal continues to surprise by repeatedly breaking last year's previous highs and setting new records exceeding $2,800 per ounce. At one point during the week, the highest recorded peak even surpassed $2,880 per ounce, before closing the week at $2,860 per ounce, an increase of $60 per ounce compared to the end of the previous week.

According to analysts, gold prices are benefiting from strong inflows of safe-haven funds amid concerns about Donald Trump's tariff policies against trading partners. Despite continuously reaching new highs, gold prices are still projected to continue rising, according to Kitco's weekly trend survey.

Domestic gold prices are at their highest level in months.

Specifically, in the Wall Street survey, 17 analysts participated, with 88% believing that the price of gold will continue to rise, only 12% saying that the price will remain stable, and not a single opinion predicting a decrease in the price of gold.

Similarly, in an online survey on Main Street, 170 investors participated, with 71% predicting a further increase in gold prices, 19% expecting a decrease, and the remaining 10% believing the precious metal would remain stable.

Currently, the world gold price, converted according to the listed exchange rate, is approximately 87.8 million VND per tael.
