A breakthrough message

At the recent launch ceremony for the Year of the Horse 2026, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong announced impressive growth targets for the 2026-2027 period after years of implementing a multi-industry strategy. Accordingly, by 2027, THACO aims for consolidated revenue of approximately VND 180 trillion, a workforce of over 100,000 people, and aspires to become a multi-industry industrial group with regional and international reach.

The above indicators reflect a development strategy based on a large-scale model, integrating value chains from industry and logistics to agriculture and trade-services. In the context of a continuously restructuring economy focused on improving the quality of growth, the private sector is identified as a crucial driving force; therefore, business investment plans contribute to increasing production capacity, creating jobs, expanding budget revenue, and promoting regional linkages.

According to Mr. Tran Ba Duong, 2026 is identified as the year to accelerate the implementation of the 5-year plan (2023-2027) within the multi-sector strategy. This is also a pivotal period to enhance management capacity and perfect the integrated production and business model based on industrialization and digitalization. Based on the plan, the group expects to contribute more than 27,300 billion VND to the state budget, with over 21,000 billion VND specifically in Da Nang city.

According to the established development direction, in 2026 the group will implement its production and business plan with the orientation of "New - Different, Breakthrough - Innovation," aiming to elevate THACO to the regional and global level, creating a foundation for sustainable development from 2027.

Alongside expanding investment, THACO focuses on improving its management capabilities in a streamlined, synchronized manner, tailored to the specific characteristics of each sector. The Group has set a roadmap to complete the ERP system for all "basic production and business units" by March 2026; finalize the digital platform for "integrated production and business units" by June 2027; and comprehensively digitize its management practices by the end of 2027.

Leveraging the role of a "leading force"

At THACO's annual launch ceremony, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Pham Duc An emphasized the company's role in the city's economic structure. With a contribution of nearly 30% of the total budget revenue in 2025, THACO holds a crucial position in generating revenue and creating jobs in the locality (in 2025, THACO is expected to contribute over 21,000 billion VND to the state budget, with over 17,000 billion VND specifically in Da Nang; and create jobs for over 15,000 workers).

The Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee stated that 2026 will be the first year of implementing Da Nang's socio-economic development plan for the 2026-2030 period, with the goal of achieving a GRDP growth rate of 11% or higher. To achieve this goal, the role of key enterprises, including THACO, is crucial in generating stable revenue, promoting industrial production, and developing logistics. This will contribute to making Da Nang a socio-economic center and growth pole for the Central-Western Highlands region and the entire country by 2030.

“ThACO has maintained growth across all six of its business areas, expanding its scale and improving quality and technological content; in many areas, it holds a leading position nationwide. The focus on creating ‘real value’ in production and business contributes to benefits for customers and society through quality products and services,” emphasized Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Pham Duc An.

From early-year production and export activities to long-term growth strategies, THACO's development orientation is demonstrated through the simultaneous commissioning of factories producing consumer goods, specialized equipment, and automotive interiors in Chu Lai, while also boosting exports right from the beginning of the Year of the Horse 2026.

With a total investment of 70 million USD, the factories are equipped with automation technology, meeting export standards and contributing to enhancing the mechanical and supporting industrial capacity in the region. Exports to markets in North America, Europe, Australia, etc., continue to expand consumer markets, creating further impetus for the growth of Da Nang's industry and logistics in the 2026-2030 period.

Completing the diversified industrial ecosystem

In 2026, THACO will continue to expand its operations across all six sectors. Specifically, in the agricultural sector, THACO AGRI will increase banana cultivation to 15,800 hectares, develop over 8,200 hectares of fruit trees, and raise the total cattle herd to over 200,000 head; the projected banana export volume is over 400,000 tons.

In the supporting industries sector – mechanical engineering, THACO INDUSTRIES is investing in expanding new-generation component and mechanical factories in Chu Lai; and developing a multi-purpose railway and mechanical engineering industrial complex in Ho Chi Minh City.

The automotive sector continues to be a cornerstone as THACO AUTO aims to sell over 96,000 vehicles, generating revenue of approximately 65,500 billion VND; simultaneously launching its THACO-branded minibus line and boosting exports.

In addition to continuing to boost investment in construction, in the trade and service sector, THISO is developing integrated multi-utility shopping centers; THILOGI is expanding its logistics network, increasing the volume of goods handled through Chu Lai International Port to approximately 6 million tons.
