That circle not only has the relic of Duc Thanh School, where the young man Nguyen Ai Quoc stopped by Phan Thiet in the last century to teach before going to Saigon to find a way to save the country; there is a water tower marking hundreds of years of history and the Vietnam - Laos friendship that is being renovated and built into a green park, so that visitors can sit and watch the Ca Ty River during high and low tides. There is also no other place like Phan Thiet ward, when there are currently 3 bridges across the river. In the near future, when the coastal road project is implemented, right at the meeting place of the river and the sea, there will be a bridge over the Ca Ty River, meaning Phan Thiet will have 4 bridges.

That circle also opens up a colorful space, including sightseeing spots, exploring the culture of the sea village, spirituality such as Van Thuy Tu, Ong Pagoda... that tourists have long visited as a mark of their return to this land; there is a seaport, the starting point for the journey across 56 nautical miles to Phu Quy pearl island; there is a coastal road embracing 2 parks, Thuong Chanh, Doi Duong with many famous hotels and restaurants of Phan Thiet tourism in the past. From here, there is a culinary culture with the characteristics and soul of Phan Thiet, whose cooking methods are made from seafood caught in the sea by the "local" fishermen.

Similarly, not every place has a fish market as large as Phan Thiet ward. The average capacity of the ward's boats is 212.85 CV/boat from a total of 340 boats/72,369 CV, showing that there are many very large boats. With fishing output in two seasons a year, contributing to the creation of the marine economy, it also determines the development of trade and services here. When the sea is in season and has good prices, all links related to this field are very busy and bustling. When the sea is in season, the opposite is true. Therefore, in recent years, when services have added the contribution of tourism, trade and service activities have been balanced. Tourism not only helps trade and services develop sustainably, but is also the key, the driving force for building a spacious, clean and beautiful urban area...

Focus on mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure to serve the tourism development strategy, especially urban transport connections; invest in renovating marine parks and public beaches in a modern, environmentally friendly direction (Thuong Chanh Park and Doi Duong Park); improve service quality, diversify tourism products associated with preserving the natural and social environment. Coordinate well the implementation of the project of the Marine Tourism - Sports Center, at the same time, promote forms of propaganda, promotion and advertising of tourism.

Smart cities and people

The political report of the Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee emphasized the general development goal of building Phan Thiet Ward to develop in the direction of a smart, modern urban area; taking trade and service economy as the main, small-scale industry and marine economy as the supporting foundation... Discussing the marine economy, the leader of Phan Thiet Ward said: “In addition to the existing fishing and processing activities, the marine economy of the ward still lacks many factors to develop comprehensively, in line with its inherent potential. The reasons come from both objective and subjective reasons. Due to the characteristics of urbanization, expanding the scale of seafood processing in residential areas is not feasible. Meanwhile, fishing logistics services are still vague and do not have enough conditions to develop as in coastal areas, typically Phu Quy. Regarding coastal infrastructure, in addition to the invested projects, the ward aims to continue to supplement and complete in the 2025-2030 term to gradually improve the capacity of the marine economy”.

In fact, with the province's key projects and works preparing for investment in the ward, especially the Ca Ty River Embankment project (from Duc Thanh bridge to Ung Van Khiem street), Phan Thiet ward is facing a difficult solution in urban beautification.

Therefore, in the 3 breakthroughs of development, the ward focuses on expanding space and urban embellishment. That is, coordinating with the provincial departments and functional branches to build Phan Thiet ward into a green, clean, civilized urban area; doing a good job of compensation and site clearance for key projects of the province in the area; focusing on urban embellishment, rearranging some residential areas in the ward, especially in the coastal axis of Doi Duong - Thuong Chanh when the province deploys investment. Even when identifying urgent projects, Phan Thiet also chose to renovate and upgrade 1-2 roads inside residential areas in the ward.

This is not only the work of the government but also of the people, when they think together to make the place where they live greener, cleaner and more beautiful. Over the past 5 years, there have been 24 "People do, State support" projects contributing to the beautification of the urban area and preventing flooding in residential areas with a total cost of more than 2.7 billion VND, of which the people contributed 936 million VND. People have also built 98 projects in residential areas with a total value of nearly 2.4 billion VND. And in the near future, Phan Thiet ward has determined to continue to implement the motto "People do, State support", mobilizing many resources to focus on speeding up the construction of infrastructure in residential areas in the direction of priority, expanding and upgrading alleys, drainage systems, lighting systems, repairing and upgrading residential group headquarters.

According to the Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee Nguyen Van Tam, in the coming time, the ward will continue to carry out the work contents that the old Phan Thiet City has deployed. That is to continue to build e-government, strengthen functions, develop the Phan Thiet Smart City Operation Center (IOC) and effectively apply it to state management in all fields. That is to continue to carry out the movement "Phan Thiet people do not litter, wastewater, waste on the streets and public areas". At the same time, it is also to propagate people to always be smart in buying and selling behavior, maintain gentleness, hospitality and join hands because the place where they live has revenue from tourists.
