Son La Power Company has intensified its efforts to promote safe, economical, and efficient electricity use through various visual and direct methods, as well as through mass media. Annually, the company collaborates with the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to organize extracurricular activities promoting safe and efficient electricity use among teachers and students in the area. It also cooperates with news agencies and media outlets to develop promotional content and utilize the company's social media platforms, creating a widespread and timely information channel to disseminate knowledge about electricity use to a large number of people.
Mr. Tran Duy Trinh, Director of Son La Power Company, said: From 2025 to the present, the company has conducted nearly 4,000 awareness campaigns on safe, efficient, and economical electricity use through mass media and social networks. Customer service offices, power clusters, electricity bill payment counters, and inspection teams have combined direct communication with over 27,000 customers and distributed thousands of leaflets and handbooks on safe and economical electricity use. In response to the Earth Hour 2026 campaign, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28th, the entire province simultaneously switched off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment, saving 18,820 kWh and contributing to spreading a green lifestyle, changing community awareness about safe and economical energy use, and protecting the power grid corridor.

The company collaborated with schools and the Provincial Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to organize a campaign promoting energy conservation and efficiency for approximately 3,300 students and teachers. Mr. Mai Xuan Truong, Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary School in Quynh Nhai commune, said: "The school, in coordination with Thuan Chau - Quynh Nhai Power Company, organized an extracurricular activity on safe and efficient energy use. This helped students master safe electricity usage skills and develop civilized habits starting from the smallest actions, such as turning off lights when leaving the classroom. More importantly, each student will become an 'advocate,' spreading awareness of energy conservation to their families and relatives, contributing to the local power company's efforts to operate the power grid safely and efficiently, preventing overload, especially as the hot season approaches."
Besides energy-saving solutions, the Son La Power Company is encouraging the development of rooftop solar power models, which are self-producing and self-consuming, helping families and businesses proactively secure their power supply during the hot season and contributing to reducing grid pressure during peak hours. To date, the company has received registrations from 171 customers for installation, with a total capacity of over 3.1 MW.

Mr. Cam Viet Quan, from To Hieu ward, shared: After researching and learning about it, my family installed a solar power system and storage to use renewable energy in our household. Using self-produced and self-consumed solar power has reduced our dependence on the national grid, bringing direct economic benefits and allowing my family to live with peace of mind, no longer worrying about the pressure of rising electricity prices.
By promoting awareness and fostering energy-saving habits among customers, Son La Power Company has been able to effectively manage and operate the power grid safely and efficiently, preventing overload and reducing the burden on the grid system, especially during the hot season.
