During the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon, tourists from all over flocked to the coastal city of Phan Thiet. The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, which shortens travel time, has made tourism in Binh Thuan even more vibrant.
The trend for beach tourism in Phan Thiet this Tet holiday remains swimming, shopping, visiting historical and cultural sites, and enjoying seafood . Public beaches like Doi Duong and Da Ong Dia are crowded with visitors. Local militia forces have been mobilized to guard vehicles and ensure security along coastal roads.
Reportedly, the number of tourists visiting Phan Thiet for sightseeing and relaxation is estimated at around 95,000, of which the Ham Tien - Mui Ne area accounts for about 32,000 visitors, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. International tourists are estimated at around 8,000, a 45% increase compared to the same period last year. According to our observations, by the afternoon of February 18th, although some tourists had returned to Phan Thiet, the beaches were still bustling with visitors.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hieu, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that Phan Thiet has a cool climate and its beaches are spacious and beautiful: “Coming here, I was very impressed with the sunshine, the wind, and the unique scenery. Especially, the people of Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan are very kind and welcoming to tourists. I would love to return here many more times because there are so many unique tourist attractions.”
