On the occasion of April 30 and May 1 this year, the weather was very hot, making the coastal tourism center of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa one of the favorite destinations for tourists. According to a report from Cam Ranh International Airport, from April 27 to May 1, there were 711 flights arriving and departing from Cam Ranh International Airport, an increase of 36.7% over the same period in 2023. Of which, there were 422 international flights and 289 domestic flights (143 arrivals and 146 departures). On the other hand, the number of tourists traveling by road to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa was also very large, especially by private vehicles. In particular, from April 26, the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway was put into operation, the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang was opened, shortening travel time, so many tourists from the southern provinces came to Nha Trang for tourism during this period. During the peak days of the holiday (from April 28 to 30), the Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong coastal route is always packed with tourist vehicles. The beaches along Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets are packed with visitors playing and swimming to "cool off".

According to the Department of Tourism's estimate, during this holiday, the whole province welcomed more than 262,000 overnight guests , an increase of more than 31.3% compared to the 2023 holiday. Resorts in Bai Dai (Cam Lam district) such as: Radisson Blu, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, Alma, The Anam, Fusion Cam Ranh all had room occupancy rates of more than 95% during the entire holiday. In Nha Trang city, Vinpearl's hotel and resort system had very high room occupancy rates. Hotels and resorts with beautiful locations along Tran Phu beach such as: InterContinental, Novotel Nha Trang, Grand Gosia, Sheraton Nha Trang... all had room occupancy rates of up to more than 90%. The remaining hotels also had quite good room occupancy rates. Many hotels and resorts have organized buffet parties and music performances to serve tourists.

Popular tourist attractions

The increase in the number of tourists and local people going on holiday has made famous tourist attractions in Nha Trang very crowded, especially Vinpearl Tourist Area (Hon Tre Island), Hon Tam Tourist Area and sea and island tours. Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf said that during this holiday, the wharf welcomed 35,000 visitors on sea and island tours, mostly domestic visitors, international visitors mainly from Korea and China. Tourist attractions in the city such as Ponagar Tower, Long Son Pagoda, Hon Chong scenic spot, Truong Son Craft Village, Oceanographic Museum... also welcomed a large number of visitors. "During the 5-day holiday, the Oceanographic Museum welcomed nearly 20,000 visitors to learn about the world of ocean creatures and documents on the process of implementing Vietnam's sovereignty over sea and islands in the East Sea...", Mr. Truong Si Hai Trinh - Deputy Head of Information and Communication Department of the Institute of Oceanography shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism said that although the number of tourists increased, tourism activities in the province were still orderly, ensuring safety for tourists. During peak hours, the traffic police force participated in regulating and diverting traffic to avoid traffic jams. Tourism businesses also strictly complied with regulations related to tourism business activities. The interdisciplinary inspection team inspected 5 tourist accommodation service establishments and 2 tourist areas and spots, all of which complied quite well with the law on prices, registered, declared and posted prices of goods and services and sold at the correct listed prices; ensuring food hygiene and safety conditions according to regulations.

According to the Department of Tourism's estimate, during the 5-day holiday, the whole province welcomed more than 262,000 overnight guests, an increase of more than 31.3% compared to the 2023 holiday, including nearly 190,500 domestic visitors and 71,667 international visitors. The average room occupancy rate reached 87.4%. Tourist attractions in the province welcomed 707,800 visitors. Total tourism revenue during the holiday reached more than VND 1,306.7 billion, an increase of 53% compared to the 2023 holiday.
