In recent days, one of the hottest keywords searched by many people has been " Tuyen Quang Mid- Autumn Festival" and "Thanh Tuyen Festival." Since the beginning of the 7th lunar month, giant floats have been parading through the streets. Many people are spreading the word, "Tuyen Quang Mid-Autumn Festival - a place you must visit at least once in your lifetime!"

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Tuyen Quang people's preservation and development of the Thanh Tuyen Festival. A new feature this year is the festival's international scale, featuring many unique activities such as: a performance of intangible cultural heritage representing humanity, showcasing six Vietnamese heritages; the Thanh Tuyen Night Festival; the 2024 Tuyen Quang Province Ethnic Groups' Culture and Sports Festival; the "Cinema with Tuyen Quang" program; the Tuyen Quang Province Trade and Tourism Fair; the "Exhibition and Introduction of Vietnamese Culinary Excellence" program; and the Hanoi Beer Festival…

Tourists flocked to Tuyen Quang City to participate in the Mid-Autumn Festival parade as early as the seventh lunar month.

Each year brings innovation, the Mid-Autumn Festival in Tuyen Quang attracts between 100,000 and 200,000 visitors, generating over 200 billion VND in total social revenue. Similar to the Thanh Tuyen Festival, the province proactively prepares for the year's events, anticipating visitor flows and creating better experiences for tourists . Many new tourism products have been introduced by various units and localities, offering visitors more choices.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of the Tourism Management Department of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Tourism Year was launched with many activities right from the beginning of the year, including: the first International Hot Air Balloon Festival, the Na Hang Festival with the theme "Shining Legend of the Lake on the Mountain," expanded Kayak racing, the Fire Dance Festival of the Pa Then ethnic group; the implementation of seasonal tourism models for sightseeing and experiences such as: the Pear Blossom Festival, the Golden Season of Hong Thai, the Yellow Mustard Flower Festival, the longest pear blossom road (Na Hang district), and the new tourism "Returning to the Place of Then Singing" with high-class cruise services. In particular, there will also be an exhibition and introduction of Tuyen Quang's tourism products and traditional crafts in 2024; and the launch of a unique tourism product with the theme "My Lam Hot Springs - A Miraculous Spring"...

In the Tan Trao tourist area, the Provincial Tourism Management Board has effectively implemented the tourism product "Swimming in rafts while listening to Then singing on Na Nua Lake," check-in points such as the giant pair of zithers and the Khuon Pen Flower Bridge, and tourism experiences at the Flamingo Tan Trao complex... Since the introduction of these supporting activities, heritage tourism in Tan Trao has become more diverse and attractive, making it less monotonous. Tourists are encouraged to stay longer to experience the services.

Thanks to sound tourism stimulus policies, the number of tourists visiting Tuyen Quang in the first eight months of 2024 reached an impressive figure: nearly 2 million visitors, with estimated revenue of nearly 300 billion VND, exceeding 66% of the annual plan.

Over the years, Tuyen Quang's tourism industry has made significant strides and breakthroughs, thanks to the province's localities taking advantage of opportunities to collaborate and develop tourism, creating impressive and diverse tours and routes.

At inter-regional tourism development seminars, many tourism experts affirmed that Tuyen Quang holds an important position in the Viet Bac region in terms of history, culture, and geographical location. The leaders of Tuyen Quang province, as well as the tourism industry, are always interested in and proactively promote regional tourism development linkages, especially with neighboring provinces. With these strong steps and commitments, tourism in Tuyen Quang, as well as in the Viet Bac region, will see significant improvements.

The Then singing tour on Na Nua Lake, Tan Trao commune (Son Duong district) attracts tourists.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the department has coordinated with travel companies to transform Tuyen Quang from a "stopover point" into a "destination" in tourist itineraries. The tourism cooperation program "Through the Heritage Regions of Viet Bac," encompassing six provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, and Thai Nguyen, has become a regular and popular destination for many tourists.

Furthermore, Tuyen Quang also has tourism connections with provinces and cities nationwide that have strengths and potential in tourism, prioritizing connections with neighboring provinces and tourism products that can complement each other. This year, within the framework of the Tuyen Quang City Festival, a program will be organized to showcase the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with the theme "The Quintessence of Convergence and Radiance," featuring the participation and performance of cultural heritage from Vietnam and abroad that have been inscribed on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The province proactively collaborates and signs cooperation agreements with units in Vinh Phuc and Hanoi to develop tourism tours such as "Capital of Culture - Capital of Resistance," Hanoi - Tam Dao - Tay Thien (Vinh Phuc) - Son Duong - Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang), and Ngoc Thanh War Zone - Tam Dao - Tay Thien - Tan Trao - ATK Dinh Hoa. At the same time, it annually participates in connecting tourism with Ho Chi Minh City and the Northeastern provinces, organizing exhibition booths to introduce cultural and tourism products of the localities, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to explore and learn.

To promote international cooperation in tourism development, Tuyen Quang has collaborated with Xieng Khouang province (Laos), participating in booths showcasing its potential, strengths, and investment promotion projects in tourism, trade, and industry in Malipho district, Yunshan Prefecture, Yunnan province (China). This has attracted numerous investors, contributing to the development of trade and tourism.

With many innovative approaches and policies, Tuyen Quang's tourism sector not only meets the needs of tourists nationwide but also creates an attractive environment that keeps visitors coming back.
