The golden sand dunes undulate like waves, constantly changing shape with each gust of wind.
Located about 7km from the center of Phan Rang - Thap Cham , the Nam Cuong sand dunes are nestled beside the Cham village of An Hai. From a distance, the golden sand stretches out like gentle waves.
Locals say that the beauty of Nam Cuong never repeats itself. Just one night of strong winds can completely change the shape of the sand dunes. Therefore, each time visitors return, they feel like they are discovering a new land.
The best time to explore the sand dunes is early morning or late afternoon. As the sun rises, its gentle rays illuminate the slopes, creating a soothing golden hue.
As evening approached, the entire landscape seemed to be bathed in a warm orange hue, creating a magical scene.
Ms. Nguyen Nghia (wearing a white dress, a tourist from Da Lat) shared: "This is my first time visiting Nam Cuong, and I was quite surprised because the scenery resembles a miniature desert. The sand stretches far and wide, the wind blows constantly, and the view from the hilltop is stunning. You can take impressive photos with just a few steps."
Besides taking photos, many tourists also experience sandboarding, strolling on the vast sand dunes, or simply sitting and watching the sunset in the tranquil setting.
Many photographers also come to Nam Cuong to capture the beautiful moments of nature and life in the sandy region.
From the top of the sand dunes, one can gaze out over the vast expanse of the coastal region. On one side is the blue of the sea, and on the other are the peaceful villages of the Cham people.
With its unique landscape, the Nam Cuong sand dunes are considered one of the most promising tourist destinations in Khanh Hoa province after the merger.
