The special units participating in the parachute jump were the 94th Reconnaissance and Special Forces Brigade (General Department II), the 429th Special Forces Brigade (Special Forces Corps), the 60th Special Forces Battalion and the 47th Reconnaissance Battalion (Military Region 7 Staff), and the Special Reconnaissance Company (Ho Chi Minh City Command).

For two consecutive weeks, the Mi-171 and Mi-8 helicopter squadron of the 917th Air Regiment (370th Air Division, Air Defense - Air Force Command) conducted nearly 100 takeoffs and landings, dropping nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers from various units participating in practical training in the airspace of Bien Hoa military airport ( Dong Nai City), ensuring absolute safety.
