At the beginning of summer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (a tourist from Hanoi) and her family came to Thien Cam Tourist Area for a 2-night, 3-day vacation, but they only spent their time swimming in the sea, eating seafood, relaxing with drinks at the Beach Club, and then returning home.
She had seen many products or tours advertised on social media but didn't know how to experience them.

Ms. Mai shared: “Before coming to Ha Tinh, we knew that Thien Cam had Con Go fish market, a green moss beach, night squid fishing tours, or that we could explore Ke Go Lake from there… However, when we asked the hotel staff, they only gave us brief information; there were no guides or services to help us access those products.”
Ms. Mai's concern is also the disappointment of many tourists who are unable to participate in tourism experiences at destinations, despite having eagerly anticipated their trip.

In fact, in recent times, many key tourist destinations in Ha Tinh have increasingly offered more attractive products. Among them, Thien Cam Tourist Area features a Beach Club with lively music nights, a pedestrian street, a night market, speedboat rides, OCOP product shops, experiences at Con Go fish market, photo opportunities at the green moss beach, and visits to Cam Son Pagoda…
However, apart from a few products available in the center of the tourist area, accessing other products is quite difficult. Tourists have trouble knowing the location of Con Go fish market, what time to arrange, and what means of transportation to use to get there. Similarly, they find it difficult to experience other products without specific guidance and shuttle services within the tourist area.

Similarly, at Xuan Thanh Tourist Area, this summer offers activities such as weekend folk music performances, a beach club, horseback riding on the sea, and a seafood night market. In addition, many satellite destinations help expand the experiential space, such as visiting the Nguyen Du Memorial Area and exploring the lotus pond in Dan Hai commune.
However, these products currently lack a connection to form a comprehensive experience and are not yet offered directly to guests at the accommodation. Many guests report that they arrive at the hotel, check in, and want to make the most of their vacation time but don't know where to start.
Mr. Le Ngoc Doan - Director of Viet Holiday Trading and Tourism Company Limited (Thanh Sen Ward) affirmed: "To retain tourists, it's not enough to just have many attractive products; these products must form a connected chain that introduces, invites, and guides tourists to participate in the journey. When accommodation, food, entertainment, culture, and experiences are synchronously connected, tourists will have more reasons to stay longer."

In fact, in the summer of 2025, the Travel Agency Branch (Ha Tinh Tourism Association) opened an office to introduce several tours and routes within the province to help tourists have more experiences when visiting Thien Cam. However, after 4 months of operation, this office closed down.
“Our office initially operated very effectively, receiving orders from many tour groups from northern provinces, but later on, the lack of cooperation from accommodation establishments in Thien Cam Tourist Area caused many tours to be canceled. Many hotels reserved rooms to sell to individual customers instead of partnering with and serving large groups and aiming for sustainable customer development,” said Mr. Hoang Minh Manh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Tourism Association.

The stories above show that Ha Tinh's tourism industry currently lacks products but also lacks the linkages to create a complete experiential ecosystem. When tourist attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and travel agencies operate in a fragmented manner, tourists easily miss out on many services.
Meanwhile, in many provinces and cities across the country, numerous destinations have developed integrated service chains, making it easy for tourists to access and experience them. Upon check-in, guests can access experience maps, short day tours, shuttle services, or pre-designed packages.

In recent times, localities and businesses have made efforts to diversify products, connect tours and routes, and create more options for tourists. However, to improve the quality of the experience and extend the length of stay, the requirement is not only to develop new products but, more importantly, to connect existing products into a synchronized ecosystem.
In the coming period, the department will strengthen its guidance and collaborate with localities, the Provincial Tourism Association, and businesses to develop product chains and tour routes, improving access to services. In particular, each key tourist destination needs to develop complete experience packages that visitors can access right from check-in. This will enhance the professionalism and attractiveness of the destination and improve the effectiveness of tourism development.
