Mr. Pham Ngoc Kinh, Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport, stated: "The number of passengers passing through the airport during the 2026 New Year holiday is expected to increase by approximately 15% compared to the same period in 2025. Specifically, from January 1st to 4th, 2026, the airport will handle 512 takeoffs and landings, a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2025; including approximately 321 international flights and 191 domestic flights. The total number of passengers will reach over 95,000, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year."

Along with air travel, a significant number of tourists also travel to Khanh Hoa by road. Hotels and resorts are recording high occupancy rates, especially in Nha Trang and Bai Dai areas, with occupancy exceeding 90% from December 31, 2025 to January 4, 2026. To create a vibrant New Year atmosphere, the Vinpearl resort complex on Hon Tre Island (Nha Trang ward) organized a spectacular countdown party with unique artistic performances and a breathtaking fireworks display, attracting thousands of visitors. Restaurants and bars along Tran Phu Street also organized events for guests to enjoy food and drinks while awaiting the first moments of the new year.

As usual, VinWonders Nha Trang was a popular destination for tourists seeking entertainment during the New Year holiday. The thrilling rides, spectacular dance performances, and various entertainment activities at Vinpearl Harbour created a vibrant atmosphere. Sea and island tours were also a popular choice, especially among international visitors. "In the first two days of the 2026 New Year holiday, the pier welcomed approximately 8,000 tourists on sea and island tours, an increase of about 15% compared to the same period in 2025," reported Mr. Tran Van Phu, Head of the Tourist Pier Management Department (Nha Trang Bay Management Board).
Similarly, Long Phu Tourism Joint Stock Company (North Nha Trang ward) welcomed over 2,650 visitors to Nha Phu Lagoon, Hoa Lan Island Tourist Area, and Monkey Island Tourist Area, an increase of about 30% compared to the 2025 New Year holiday. Many international tourists are eager to visit the sea and islands of Khanh Hoa. Natalia, a tourist from Russia, shared: "This is my first time setting foot in Khanh Hoa and I am impressed by its beauty. On New Year's Day, touring the islands with the group makes me extremely excited and I am very much looking forward to the scuba diving experience."

Cultural and historical sites in the province also attracted a large number of tourists. Mr. Ho Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Po Nagar Cham Towers Relic Site, said: "On January 2nd, about 5,500 tourists visited. Before that, on January 1st, the relic site welcomed more than 5,200 visitors. The beautiful weather allowed tourists to spend more time learning about the art and construction techniques of Cham temples and towers; watching traditional art performances and Cham brocade weaving." Destinations such as Long Son Pagoda, the Oceanographic Museum, and the Nha Trang Ancient Craft Village with traditional Tet workshops... also recorded a significant increase in visitors. This shows that Khanh Hoa tourism has had a brilliant start, promising a bountiful year for the local tourism industry in 2026.

On the afternoon of January 2nd, Mr. Dong Van Nhuong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Po Klong Garai Tower historical site, stated that during the first two days of the 2026 New Year's holiday, the Po Klong Garai Tower national special historical site (Do Vinh ward) welcomed 1,726 visitors, equivalent to the same number as the previous New Year's holiday. On January 2nd alone, the site received 941 visitors, an increase of over 150 compared to the first day.
