Quang Ninh tourism is entering its autumn and winter peak season. To attract tourists to its destinations, especially those with beautiful autumn scenery, Quang Ninh has been developing and exploiting distinctive products, building a four-season destination brand, and creating unique experiences for each season, particularly at the end of the year.
As autumn arrives, Yen Tu becomes one of the most popular scenic spots for both domestic and international tourists. With its expansive natural landscapes, harmonious and friendly mountain and forest scenery, cool weather, unique architectural structures, and distinctive traditional culture, Yen Tu possesses a captivating charm. Currently, this tourist area is developing attractive tours and programs such as: "Touching the Autumn Clouds of Heritage" with a comprehensive package experience including sightseeing, enjoying local cuisine , and health care, attracting both domestic and international tourists; the "YEN TU Heritage 2024" race; and many traditional folk games and cultural activities at Lang Nuong village, bringing visitors back to nostalgic memories…
Specifically, the "YEN TU Heritage 2024 - Touching the Heritage Region" race will be held on December 8, 2024, and is expected to attract over 2,000 athletes participating in the 5km, 10km, and 21km categories. The race route passes through historical sites within the Yen Tu historical and scenic complex, boasting beautiful scenery and majestic nature. This event also aims to attract tourists to Yen Tu in the autumn, as a first step in developing and creating a new tourism product: sports tourism.
Besides Yen Tu, visitors to Quang Ninh during autumn and winter can also admire the stunning scenery of the "Paradise of Reed Grass" by conquering milestones 1297 and 1305 in Binh Lieu. The period from mid-October to the end of November is the most beautiful time, when the area is covered in reed grass, creating a gentle, poetic, and romantic atmosphere. Furthermore, conquering milestone 1305 allows visitors to see and experience the majestic and imposing beauty of the mountains and border line of this remote border region.
Towards the end of the year, Binh Lieu district also organizes many programs and activities to attract tourists. These include the Binh Lieu Cultural and Tourism Week and the Binh Lieu Golden Harvest Festival, featuring many unique events such as art programs showcasing the unique cultural identity of the ethnic groups in Binh Lieu district; and the Binh Lieu Golden Harvest Festival with many attractive and unique cultural and sports activities such as experiencing the new rice harvest ceremony, displaying and introducing OCOP products, experiencing mountain climbing and camping, and taking photos to immerse yourself in the golden rice harvest season on terraced fields… The program aims to introduce and promote to friends from all over the world the image of a beautiful, majestic, unique homeland of Binh Lieu, rich in historical traditions and cultural identity, which is transforming and developing strongly every day; and the image of the simple, humble, and loyal people of Binh Lieu.
This year, at the Huc Dong Commune Cultural Center in Binh Lieu District, ethnic minority girls in traditional costumes will compete for the first time in the Quang Ninh 2024 Ethnic Minority Women's Football Tournament – Netherlands Cup, scheduled to open on October 26th. According to the tournament organizers, teams from communes and towns under the jurisdiction of districts, towns, and cities in the province, as well as football clubs established by competent authorities, are eligible to register and participate. This promises to be an event that will attract a large number of local people, domestic and international tourists to join in the fun and experience.
To attract tourists, Binh Lieu district is currently focusing on developing several new tourism products such as: homestay accommodation in traditional earthen houses (Khe Tien village, Dong Van commune); hiking and forest trekking tourism (in Song Mooc and Khe Tien villages, Dong Van commune); and kayaking tourism (on the Tien Yen river section passing through Binh Lieu district, from Dong Tam commune to Vo Ngai commune)...
Quang Ninh is determined to achieve its goal of welcoming 19 million tourists, including 3.5 million international visitors, in 2024. To achieve this goal, relevant departments, agencies, and localities are currently implementing solutions to promote and boost tourism development in the remaining months of the year, and developing new autumn and winter products to attract tourists.
