Organize a livestream of "Top Agricultural Products - Agricultural Products in the City" at the 2025 Conference on Connecting Supply and Demand for Cooperative Products and the Vietnam-Korea Economic and Cultural Exchange on the Thai Nguyen e-commerce marketplace. |
The online product market for ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Thai Nguyen province is being implemented with budget funds according to Decision No. 3478/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2024. The focus of the project is to build a modern digital classroom/studio, supporting cooperatives and OCOP (One Commune One Product) entities in accessing the process of creating digital content in a professional environment.
This space is fully equipped, from high-configuration computers and professional cameras to livestreaming equipment and editing tools, directly connected to the online marketplace platform. As a result, the image of distinctive highland products such as tea, vermicelli, essential oils, and handicrafts is enhanced, improving their accessibility to customers – a previous limitation for many mountainous cooperatives.
Besides infrastructure, the project organizes practical training classes on photography, video shooting and editing, content writing, and operating digital booths. Hands-on experience with technology helps people improve their skills, innovate their marketing thinking, and proactively participate in e-commerce.
Ms. Ca Thi Bay, Director of Hong Phat Agricultural Cooperative (Nghien Loan commune), shared: "Promoting products has always been a challenge due to a lack of specialized personnel and digital skills. Thanks to Chothainguyen.vn and the support of the Provincial Cooperative Union, we have been guided on editing and uploading products, learning how to take photos and shoot videos, thereby expanding our reach to customers and improving sales efficiency."
Currently, Thai Nguyen has over 1,300 cooperatives, cooperative groups, and cooperative unions, creating a crucial force in production linkages and value chain development. With 561 OCOP products, including 10 products achieving 5-star national recognition (ranking 3rd nationwide) and 113 products achieving 4-star recognition, 323 entities including businesses, cooperatives, and household businesses participate, creating a rich and diverse supply of goods for the market.
After a trial period, the Thai Nguyen e-commerce market has shown positive results. More than 100 cooperatives and OCOP (One Commune One Product) entities have participated in the digital studio, nearly 150 products have had their images and videos standardized and uploaded to the platform, and many products have started generating orders through the online market.

Thien Phuc Medicinal Herbs Agricultural Cooperative (Dong Hy commune) created videos and clips promoting its H'Mong chickens raised on herbal feed and posted them on chothainguyen.vn. |
In the midst of digital transformation, the Provincial Cooperative Union has identified online marketplaces as a tool to enhance the digital capacity of the collective economic sector. Ms. Vu Thi Thu Huong, Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union, emphasized: "We will continue to support cooperatives in building brand stories, improving their image and videos, and promoting them on chothainguyen.vn and other digital channels. The goal is to help mountainous region products increase their value, expand their markets, and establish a sustainable foothold."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, from Thien Phuc Medicinal Herbs Agricultural Cooperative (Dong Hy commune), observed: "Chothainguyen.vn is like a 24/7 online store. Even without direct sales, customers can still buy at any time. This is a reputable channel thanks to the guarantee of the Cooperative Alliance. Bringing H'Mong chicken products to the online market has helped the cooperative receive many new orders and simultaneously increased customer trust."
In the future, the Thai Nguyen e-commerce platform will continue to be improved with features such as online payment, traceability, and connection with major e-commerce platforms. The project is expected to create a transparent and sustainable consumption flow for products from ethnic minority communities, while becoming an important bridge between production, promotion, and consumption, contributing to increasing income and the value of local products in the context of digital transformation.
