On the weekend, Ms. Vu Khanh Chi took her daughter, who is in grade 3 at Phuong Sai Primary School, to read books at the Children's Reading Room of the Provincial Library (Nha Trang Ward). Here, the mother and daughter freely chose suitable books. Ms. Khanh Chi had a meaningful time reading books with her child, learning about her child's interests, and sharing interesting content in each book. "My daughter loves reading books, so even though I'm busy, I still try to arrange time to read books with her. The Provincial Library has a suitable space, a rich number of books, and new books are regularly added," said Ms. Chi.

During the year, the Provincial Library effectively implemented the activity of transferring books to the grassroots level, donating books to libraries of agencies, units and schools. Mobile book service sessions to Khanh Hiep Primary School, Cam Hoa Primary School, Ninh Binh Primary School, Cam Ranh Technical - Tourism College, Song Cai Prison, a number of armed forces units in the province... brought a vibrant atmosphere when readers had access to a large number of books, diverse in types. In particular, the Provincial Library focused on serving ceremonies and events in the province, such as: Party Celebration Week - Spring Celebration of At Ty; 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Provincial Party Committee Founding Day; 50th Anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province Liberation Day; 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day; 135th Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday; Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Information resources in the form of quoted documents, full-text documents, and book introduction clips are displayed and introduced to readers directly at the Provincial Library and on the website and social network accounts of the unit...

The Provincial Library also actively coordinates with agencies, units, and localities inside and outside the province to organize events to contribute to promoting reading culture such as: At Ty Spring Newspaper Festival; a series of activities responding to the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day; Provincial Children's Storytelling Contest; summarizing and awarding the provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest; a series of activities serving children readers in the summer with the theme "A vibrant summer through every page of a book"; the 1st Khanh Hoa Province Family Reading Contest, 2025...

Improve the quality of service to readers

According to Mr. Dinh Xuan Huong - Director of the Provincial Library, 2025 is a particularly important milestone for the Provincial Library. Completing the organizational consolidation and restructuring is not only a simple administrative task, but also an opportunity for the unit to restructure, standardize and improve the quality of service to people across the province. Despite the large workload and many requirements for innovation, the Provincial Library still maintains stability and strongly develops professional activities, from serving readers on-site, transferring to facilities, organizing events to spread reading culture, to promoting digital transformation, digitizing resources, building AI chatbots and developing online services. All reflect the determination to turn the library into a modern, friendly and close-to-the-community knowledge space.

In the coming time, the Provincial Library will continue to improve the quality of service to readers, promote the development of reading culture in a strong and practical way. The unit will focus on strengthening digital transformation, continue to effectively apply technology in management and professional activities, online search services; focus on editing specialized databases, facts, full texts, compiling information publications, bibliographic information, document directories... to update on digital software to serve readers. The unit also focuses on consolidating and developing diverse forms of socialization of library activities; improving the quality of coordination with departments, branches, localities, social components, increasing the form of connection with libraries in the national public library system to increase the capacity of information resources to serve readers.

In 2025, the Provincial Library served 1,253 sessions with more than 2 million readers, including 1,135 sessions at the unit and 118 mobile sessions. The unit also issued 5,486 new reader cards and renewed 2,735 cards; circulated 80,192 book titles with 111,590 copies to 278 grassroots units in the province, including 11 new circulation units.
