Eric Dier reaches agreement to leave Tottenham, join Bayern Munich

British media reported that center-back Eric Dier has just reached a preliminary agreement to join German club Bayern Munich.

The England international has lost his place at Tottenham since Ange Postecoglou was appointed as head coach.

Eric Dier was forced to find another direction for the future because he realized he was no longer in the Australian coach's plans.

The Times newspaper confirmed that Dier has just reached an agreement with the Bavarian Tigers after initial negotiations.

The 29-year-old defender is free to negotiate with the Bundesliga giants, as his contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Coach Thomas Tuchel identified Eric Dier as a versatile target who could strengthen his defensive depth.

Bayern Munich also received the green light from Spurs to recruit Dier this winter transfer window for a low fee.

Meanwhile, coach Postecoglou is not holding on to his student and is looking for an alternative. Recently, the London team has actively contacted Genoa to recruit young central defender Dragusin.

If Spurs agree to sell Dier to Bayern Munich, the England international would reunite with long-time teammate Harry Kane.

Kane moved from North London to Munich in August 2023 and immediately shone brightly, scoring 25 goals in 22 games.
