G20 agrees to tax the super rich

This is part of a joint statement issued after the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on July 27.

Responding to the above information, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva appreciated the G20's stance on "tax fairness", calling the decision to cooperate in taxing the super-rich timely and welcome.

According to the G20, economic activity has recovered more strongly than expected in many parts of the world , but unevenly across countries, increasing the risk of global economic fragmentation.

Financial leaders predict a “soft landing” for the global economy, despite many challenges. The development of artificial intelligence technology is both an opportunity and a challenge for economic growth.
