The G7 exacerbates global problems.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the activities of the G7 do not reflect the interests of countries from other regions on a global scale.

"Clearly, the G7 is the main factor exacerbating global problems. This group cannot represent the interests of other centers of development, especially countries in the Asia- Pacific , South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the G7 has entered a phase of decline, becoming a breeding ground for subversive initiatives.

"The G7 countries have never cooperated on the various issues on the global agenda. Now, the G7 has deteriorated. The G7 has become an incubator for nurturing destructive initiatives that undermine global stability," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on May 20 that the decisions made by the G7 at its summit in Japan were aimed at a "double containment" of Russia and China.

"Look at the decisions being discussed and adopted today in Hiroshima at the G7 summit. These decisions are aimed at the dual containment of Russia and China," Foreign Minister Lavrov said.

In a statement at the summit, the G7 agreed to tighten sanctions against Moscow and reduce interaction with China. They also called on China to pressure Russia to cease military action and immediately withdraw its forces from Ukraine.

Lavrov said the West is pressuring countries to sever trade and economic ties with Russia. However, he stressed that Moscow has the support of many allies.
