Some previous reports revealed that Samsung will replace the Galaxy S26 Plus series with the Galaxy S26 Edge version (the successor to the Galaxy S25 Edge).

However, the company is said to have changed its mind at the last minute due to the lack of interest in the ultra-thin phone line from the market. This is also considered the reason why the Galaxy S26 generation was launched later.
Many recent leaks have said that the Galaxy S26 series, including the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra version, will be equipped with the Exynos 2600 processor.
Recently, the performance score of the Exynos 2600 chip appeared on the Geekbench platform. Accordingly, this processor achieved 3,455 single-core points and 11,621 multi-core points. These numbers are superior to Qualcomm and Apple chips.
For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite scored 2,865 points in single-core and 9,487 points in multi-core tests, while Apple's A19 Pro scored 3,753 points in single-core and 9,702 points in multi-core tests.
In early September, Sonny Dickson shared a model of the Galaxy S26. The camera system on the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra is arranged vertically and protrudes upwards, similar to the standard iPhone 17. The leaked image also shows that all three devices will support the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, similar to Apple's MagSafe charging.

Previously, a source from GSMArena revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra model will be equipped with Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) screen technology.
Samsung has applied CoE display technology to a number of its foldable screen products, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold3. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be the company's first bar-shaped phone to use this technology.
