On October 23, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department deployed and installed a camera system integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) at the Pham Hung - Khuat Duy Tien intersection.
AI cameras can rotate 360 degrees, clearly identifying objects and phenomena at a distance of 500-700 meters.
In particular, the system can operate in all weather conditions and harsh environments.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, AI cameras will process and analyze video directly at the camera (on-site processing) traffic violations as well as security and order violations, and send the data to the monitoring center for reading and comparison with the system's database...
The cameras detect traffic violations and security situations, reducing latency and conserving server resources at the central system.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dao Viet Long, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, this is an important step in the digital transformation roadmap of the capital's traffic police force.
This camera system will help to quickly and accurately detect violations of traffic order and safety, as well as situations related to public security in the area.

The overall plan for managing a centralized surveillance camera system, approved by the Hanoi People's Committee, will install more than 40,000 cameras, including over 16,000 cameras for state management of traffic safety, environment, and urban order.
