Integrating professional activities

LCĐT - Over two days (February 27-28), a delegation from the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai City and Ngo Van So Secondary School (Lao Cai City) organized a school-to-school exchange program, sharing professional activities, educational activities, and STEM club activities for the 2018-2019 school year at Ban Lien Ethnic Minority Primary and Secondary School (Bac Ha).

A model lesson was conducted by Ngo Van So Secondary School at its sister school.

This is a meaningful activity within the "Department helping department," "School helping school" twinning movement between the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai City and the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ha District; and between Ngo Van So Secondary School and Ban Lien Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School.

During the program, core teachers of Literature, Mathematics, and Biology from Ngo Van So Secondary School conducted model lessons applying new methods; utilizing information technology such as multi-purpose projectors and overhead projectors; and integrating interdisciplinary knowledge in educating students about environmental protection and maritime sovereignty . From there, the teachers and staff discussed and contributed ideas to develop effective teaching methods suitable for their respective schools.

In addition, experiences in professional management, quality control, high school entrance exam preparation, and extracurricular activities based on the STEM education model were shared by professional staff and key teachers from the City Department of Education and Training and Ngo Van So Secondary School at the program.

On this occasion, Ngo Van So Secondary School presented many meaningful gifts, including school supplies, clothing, and food, to the teachers and students of Ban Lien Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School. (Photo above).
