Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices are as follows: OM 380 raw rice ranges from 7,900 to 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice ranges from 8,150 to 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice ranges from 9,300 to 9,500 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice ranges from 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice ranges from 8,800 to 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice ranges from 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 7,300 and 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice (3-4 grades) ranges from 6,600 to 6,700 VND/kg; and bran ranges from 8,000 to 10,000 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.
Reports from various localities today indicate a better supply and relatively stable prices for all types of rice. In An Giang , rice is arriving steadily, warehouse purchases have slowed down, and prices are relatively stable. In Sa Dec market (Dong Thap province), rice is available in sufficient quantities, mainly fragrant and sticky rice, mostly concentrated in large warehouses, with stable prices for all types and by-products. At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

Observations in many localities today show a relatively good supply, but new buying and selling transactions are slow. In Long An, new transactions are slower, and traders are offering slightly lower prices for rice. In Kien Giang, farmers are offering stable prices, while buyers are trending towards lower prices, and new transactions are sporadic. In Dong Thap, farmers are offering stable prices, and rice transactions are consistent across all three-crop fields, with little price fluctuation.
In An Giang, the supply is abundant, but transactions of newly harvested rice are slower than yesterday, and the price of fragrant rice in some areas has decreased slightly. In Bac Lieu, rice prices remain stable, harvesting is sporadic, and traders are buying more slowly, mainly waiting for the rice to be harvested. In Soc Trang, the rice supply is abundant, the price of fragrant rice has decreased again, and the prices of other rice varieties are relatively stable. In Hau Giang, the rice supply is abundant, farmers are offering to sell at stable prices, and buying and selling transactions are steady.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today saw a slight increase compared to the middle of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken rice is $392/ton (up $2/ton); 25% broken rice is $365/ton (up $1/ton); and 100% broken rice is $307/ton.
