On March 17, the whole team will move to Tajikistan. Here, U.23 Vietnam will play 2 friendly matches with U.23 Tajikistan, on March 20 and March 23, 2024 respectively.

In the past, Vietnamese youth football rarely encountered Tajikistan. The most recent meeting was when U.22 Vietnam played a friendly match with U.22 Tajikistan in the UAE in 2021. At that time, U.22 Vietnam was led by Korean coach Kim Han-yoon. VFF considers U.23 Tajikistan to be an equal opponent and could not be more suitable for U.23 Vietnam to have a perfect preparation before U.23 Asia, the tournament will take place from April 15 to May 3, 2024. U.23 Vietnam is in group D with opponents U.23 Kuwait, Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

U.23 Vietnam will play their opening match against U.23 Kuwait at 10:30 p.m. (Vietnam time) on April 17 at Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium.
