In accordance with the Party and State's policy on showing gratitude to war heroes, the review and re-issuance of "Homeland Recognition" certificates for martyrs whose certificates have been lost, damaged, or lack information is being implemented synchronously nationwide.

Leaders of the Department of Internal Affairs and the Party Committee and government of Dong Tien commune presented the "Recognition of National Service" certificate to the family of martyr Phan Tao.

This is not only an activity to complete policy documents, but also a profound and timely expression of gratitude for the immense sacrifices of the heroic martyrs and their families in the wars to defend the Fatherland.

Clutching the newly reissued "Recognition of Service to the Fatherland" certificate for martyr Phan Tảo (1915 - 1951), Mrs. Phạm Thị Tỉu (born in 1936, residing in Tây Tiến village, Đồng Tiến commune - the martyr's granddaughter) could not hold back her tears. The certificate, reissued just in time for the upcoming War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th, holds even greater sacredness and significance for Mrs. Tỉu's family as well as the 13 other families of martyrs in Đồng Tiến commune.

“My uncle participated in the resistance against the French and bravely sacrificed his life on the battlefield. For many years, our family has been heartbroken because his diploma was lost. Now that the State has shown concern and reissued it, we are deeply moved, as if our loss has been partially compensated,” Mrs. Tiu shared, her voice choked with emotion.

These days, the atmosphere in the small house of Mr. Le Ba Vung (born in 1962, Hong Thai village, Thach Lac commune) is more vibrant and warm than usual as the family receives the "Recognition of National Service" certificate for martyr Le Ba Phuong (born in 1949 - 1972). The honor is further amplified when a delegation from the Department of Internal Affairs and the local government directly visited the house to present the certificate, offer condolences, and provide encouragement.

Placing the certificate on the solemn altar, Mr. Vung said emotionally, “My brother enlisted in 1968, fought and died on the Quang Tri battlefield. According to his death certificate, his date of death was June 11, 1972. In 2022, exactly 50 years later, our family finally found his grave, and in 2025 we will bring his remains back to be buried at the Nui Nai Martyrs' Cemetery. Now, receiving a replacement certificate of ‘Recognition from the Fatherland’ after many years of damage, this joy is immense. The concern of the Party and the State is a great source of encouragement for our family.”

The joy of Mr. Vung's family is also the shared joy of 54 families of martyrs in Thach Lac commune - the locality with the highest number of "Homeland Recognition" certificates reissued in the entire province this time.

The reissued "Homeland Recognition" certificates are a continuation of the nation's tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," a profound expression of gratitude from today's generation for the immense sacrifices of their ancestors; contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State, and building a sustainable humanistic foundation for society.

“During the implementation process, we received very responsible cooperation from the families and relatives of martyrs, local authorities, and relevant departments at the central level. This shows that the work of showing gratitude and appreciation is always given special attention by all levels, sectors, and society as a whole. In the coming time, the Department of Internal Affairs will continue to coordinate with all levels and sectors to receive, review, verify, and complete dossiers to ensure the rights and timely recognition of the contributions of martyrs and their relatives and families.”
