According to experts, the increase in coffee prices is due to several factors. One reason is that coffee is a long-term commodity, so farmers shouldn't worry too much about sales, especially with the current price fluctuations. Many farmers want to hold onto their stock for longer to profit from the rising prices.

In addition, experts also believe that the limited supply of coffee will lead coffee speculators to hoard goods, waiting for prices to rise in order to make a profit.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, Vietnam's coffee and cocoa exports decreased in November. The reason given is that the harvest was delayed, and farmers were not in a hurry to bring their produce to market, resulting in limited supply and consequently higher coffee prices.

Accordingly, in November, businesses exported 50,605 tons of green coffee beans, earning $250.4 million at an average price of $4,947 per ton. Compared to the same period last year, coffee exports decreased by 47.4% in volume and 0.5% in value.
