Arabica coffee prices rose primarily due to a slight decline in the US dollar, making the commodity more attractive to global investors. Early on June 29th in the US market, the US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the fluctuations of the greenback against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), fell 0.04% to 105.87.

The US dollar fell after newly released data showed inflation in the world's largest economy declined last month, bolstering expectations that the Federal Reserve will begin cutting interest rates this year.

Arabica is also being supported by information; the Expocacer coffee cooperative reports that Brazilian coffee farmers are harvesting smaller-than-normal beans this season, after coffee plants experienced periods of heat and drought that damaged their growth.

Although the extent of the impact is currently uncertain, concerns have prompted a downward revision of estimated Arabica coffee production.
