Reinforce 12 sections of the North Hung Hai canal bank.

Twelve sections of the Bac Hung Hai canal bank in Hai Phong city have been reinforced to ensure safety during the 2026 rainy and stormy season.

The section of the Cuu An canal bank, part of the Bac Hung Hai system, passing through Thanh Mien commune, has recently been reinforced.

According to Bac Hung Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One-Member Limited Company, before the 2026 rainy season, the unit had raised the height of bamboo embankments and reinforced 12 sections of canal banks in Hai Phong city with a total length of nearly 3.5 km.

The reinforced sections of the main canal include: Kim Son, Dinh Dao, Tay Ke Sat, Cuu An, Long Khe - An Tho, located in the communes of Thuong Hong, Thanh Mien, Nguyen Giap, Hai Hung, Truong Tan, and Yet Kieu.

These are all narrow canal sections with low elevations, making them susceptible to landslides and overflows during prolonged heavy rains. Reinforcement and repair will contribute to ensuring safety and improving disaster prevention and control capabilities on the Bac Hung Hai system.

According to the plan, in 2026, Bac Hung Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One-Member Limited Company will continue to address 15 vulnerable points on the system in Hai Phong using engineering measures such as raising the height of the embankment and reinforcing the canal banks to ensure safety.
