Domestic rice prices
Raw rice prices in An Giang show a differentiation, with OM 380 and OM 18 fluctuating at 7,400 – 7,500 VND/kg and 8,400 – 8,600 VND/kg respectively. Other varieties such as IR 504, CL 555, and OM 5451 maintain stable prices at 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.
Finished rice varieties such as OM 380 range from 8,800 to 9,000 VND/kg, while IR 504 is priced at 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg. At retail markets, rice prices remain stable: Nang Nhen at 28,000 VND/kg, Huong Lai at 22,000 VND/kg, Thai fragrant rice at 20,000-22,000 VND/kg, and Jasmine at 16,000-18,000 VND/kg.

Rice prices today
Rice prices remained stable today in many areas of the Mekong Delta.
Fresh IR 50404 rice is priced between 5,700 and 5,900 VND/kg, OM 5451 (fresh) at 5,900 to 6,000 VND/kg, OM 18 (fresh) at 6,000 to 6,200 VND/kg, Dai Thom 8 (fresh) maintains a price of 6,100 to 6,200 VND/kg, Nang Hoa 9 around 6,000 to 6,200 VND/kg, while OM 308 (fresh) fluctuates between 5,700 and 5,900 VND/kg.
By-product prices
By-products from rice remain stable. OM 504 broken rice fluctuates between 7,300 and 7,400 VND/kg, bran stays at 8,000 to 9,000 VND/kg, and rice husk is around 1,400 to 1,500 VND/kg.
Export market
On the international market, the price of Vietnamese exported rice has fallen sharply compared to the end of last week.
Fragrant rice with 5% broken grains decreased by $5 to $450-$455/ton, while Jasmine rice dropped by $12 to $533-$537/ton. Rice with 25% broken grains remained at $367/ton, while rice with 100% broken grains decreased to $319-$323/ton.
Although Vietnamese rice prices remain high for some varieties, this price reduction still creates significant competitive pressure when compared to regional rivals.
