Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region are fluctuating today, December 17, 2025.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,400 and 6,600 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,300 and 5,400 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) is fluctuating between 5,500 and 5,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 34 rice (fresh) is fluctuating between 5,200 and 5,400 VND/kg; the price of OM 4218 rice is fluctuating between 6,000 and 6,200 VND/kg; and the price of Dai Thom 8 fresh rice is fluctuating between 6,400 and 6,600 VND/kg, compared to the end of last week.
Observations in many localities today show few new transactions and slight price fluctuations. In Ca Mau , ST and OM 18 rice prices decreased slightly, with limited trading activity.
In An Giang , new transactions are few, and prices fluctuate slightly. In Dong Thap, transactions are sluggish, traders are inquiring little about buying, and prices remain stable. In Can Tho, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh, remaining supply is limited, buyers are scarce, and prices are relatively stable.
Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnam Rice, the price of IR 504 export raw rice has decreased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating between 7,550 and 7,650 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice has decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 8,800 and 9,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 export raw rice is currently fluctuating between 8,150 and 8,300 VND/kg; Soc Thom export raw rice is fluctuating between 7,500 and 7,600 VND/kg; CL 555 export raw rice is fluctuating between 7,340 and 7,450 VND/kg; and OM 380 export raw rice is fluctuating between 7,200 and 7,300 VND/kg. The price of raw rice for export (OM 18) fluctuated between 8,500 and 8,600 VND/kg; the price of finished IR 504 rice fluctuated between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Regarding by-products, prices range from approximately 7,500 to 11,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice is priced at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg; and bran is priced at 10,000 - 11,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Observations in various localities today show sluggish trading activity and stable prices for all types of rice. In An Giang, rice supplies are low, trading is slow, and prices for all types of rice remain stable.
In Lap Vo and Sa Dec (Dong Thap province), the supply is low, warehouses are buying slowly, selecting only the best quality rice, and prices are relatively stable. In An Cu, Dong Thap province, trading is weak, and rice prices remain stable.
At retail markets, the prices of various types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed highest at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice ranges from 11,500 - 12,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Thai long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 21,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 20,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 14,000 - 15,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 16,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice ranges from 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 20,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.
According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), on the export market, the price of Vietnamese rice for export is currently fluctuating between 420-440 USD/ton for 5% broken fragrant rice; 314-318 USD/ton for 100% broken rice; and 447-451 USD/ton for Jasmine rice.
