At Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd., the price of SJC gold bars and plain gold rings is being traded at 117.6 million VND/ounce for buying and 119.6 million VND/ounce for selling.
On the international market, gold prices continued to fluctuate sharply today. During the night and early this morning, gold prices briefly recovered to near $3,395 per ounce, but then fell back down immediately afterward.
As of 9:15 AM Vietnam time, the precious metal was trading at $3,375 per ounce, a further decrease of approximately $20 per ounce compared to yesterday. Over the past two days, the price of gold has lost a total of about $70 per ounce.
Gold prices fell amid a recovery in the US dollar after remaining at low levels for several weeks. The US dollar index (DXY) is currently at 98.7 points, up from 98.2 points in the previous session. Similarly, crude oil futures trading around $73.75 per barrel and 10-year US Treasury yields at approximately 4.4% are also putting pressure on gold prices.
Currently, the world gold price, converted according to the listed exchange rate, is approximately 106.8 million VND per tael.
