In the international market, gold prices continued to fluctuate strongly today. Last night and early this morning, gold prices recovered to nearly $3,395/ounce, but then fell back down shortly after.
At 9:15 a.m. Vietnam time, the precious metal was trading at $3,375 an ounce, down about $20 an ounce from yesterday. Over the past two days, the price of gold has lost a total of about $70 an ounce.
Gold prices fell as the US dollar recovered after remaining low for many weeks. The US dollar index (DXY) is currently at 98.7 points, up from 98.2 points in the previous session. Similarly, crude oil futures are trading around $73.75/barrel, and the US 10-year bond yield is around 4.4%, also putting pressure on gold prices.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 106.8 million VND/tael.
