In the price adjustment on January 29th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance continued to refrain from allocating funds or using the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline was adjusted up by 56 dong to 18,339 dong/liter, and RON 95 III gasoline increased by 214 dong to a new price of 18,845 dong/liter.
Meanwhile, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil prices were sharply increased by 473 VND, 226 VND, and 761 VND respectively, reaching new prices of 18,173 VND/liter, 18,176 VND/liter, and 14,633 VND/kg.

Fuel prices will increase across the board from 3 PM on January 29, 2026.
According to the operator, the global oil market from January 22-28 was influenced by several key factors, including: tensions between the US and Iran; a severe cold spell in the US; a sharper-than-expected decrease in US oil inventories; a weakening US dollar; prospects for negotiations to resolve the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine; and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. These factors caused global oil prices to fluctuate, rising and falling depending on the specific product.
Given the fluctuations in global oil prices, the VND/USD exchange rate, and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have decided on a plan to manage gasoline and diesel prices to ensure that domestic prices are in line with global prices; to continue maintaining a reasonable price difference between E5 RON 92 bio-gasoline and RON 95 mineral gasoline to encourage the use of biofuels in accordance with the Government's policy; and to ensure a balance of interests among market participants.
