Tottenham's fortunes declined after winning the Europa League. |
No longer just a threat, Tottenham have officially dropped into the relegation zone in the 2025/26 Premier League after 14 consecutive games without a win. The defeat at The Light Stadium saw the North London side fall to 18th place, two points behind West Ham in safety, with six rounds remaining.
Not only did manager Roberto De Zerbi suffer a defeat on his return to the Premier League, but he also received further bad news when key defender Cristian Romero sustained an injury. For the remainder of the season, Tottenham will face a series of tough opponents such as Aston Villa, Brighton, Chelsea, and Everton.
