2024 Youth Pickleball Tournament

SPECIAL TOURNAMENTS, ATTRACTIVE REWARDS

Pickleball is a new sport introduced to Vietnam not long ago but is growing rapidly, receiving the support of many players of all ages. With experience in organizing sports playgrounds over the years, Thanh Nien Newspaper has built a plan to organize the 2024 Thanh Nien Pickleball Tournament - VINFAST Cup with the main sponsor VINFAST. The tournament will take place at Lan Anh Club (291 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), on July 6-7. Although it is the first time to organize, the tournament has attracted a very large number of registrations. After receiving registrations and screening, the Organizing Committee has selected more than 350 athletes to compete in 7 diverse competitions. The team event brings together 8 strong teams including Baby Shark, Picknis, DKN Store, Brotherhood Pickleball, Pickle Passion Club, Tam Giang, D-joy and Binh Minh Tai. The team champion will receive the VINFAST Championship Cup along with a prize of 30 million VND, 15 million VND and a silver medal for the runner-up team, 5 million VND and a bronze medal for the third-place team.

The 2024 Youth Pickleball Tournament - VINFAST Cup brings together players who have won many international awards such as Truong Vinh Hien ( left ), Le Ba Thanh Xuan ( right ).

Top Vietnamese tennis players such as Truong Vinh Hien, Trinh Linh Giang, Ly Minh Triet, Huynh Chi Khuong, Dang Kim Ngan, Tran Thi Kim Loi... who have won many domestic and international awards will compete in the highest category of the Super Cup with a total prize of 35 million VND, along with gifts. The category with the largest number of registered athletes is Open, which promises to create many surprises and attractions (the prizes for gold, silver, and bronze medals are 10 million VND, 5 million VND, and 2 million VND, respectively). In addition, the tournament organizers also have a children's category (under 13 years old) and newbie men's doubles, newbie women's doubles, and newbie mixed doubles for new players. In particular, the organizers decided to add prizes of 3 million VND, 2 million VND, and 1 million VND for each gold, silver, and bronze medal to encourage categories that do not charge registration fees.

TOWARDS A QUALITY, PROFESSIONAL PLAYGROUND

At 2:30 p.m. today, July 4, at the Thanh Nien Newspaper office, the announcement and drawing ceremony for the 2024 Thanh Nien Pickleball Tournament - VINFAST Cup will take place. The ceremony will be run by the Professional Council (HDCM), which are prestigious people with the highest professional decision-making power. The HDCM includes journalist Ly Minh Tan ( Thanh Nien Newspaper Sports Department, Chairman of HCĐM), members including Mr. Huynh Phu Qui (pickleball coach), Luu Khai Van (pickleball referee) and Mr. Ly Minh Triet (pickleball coach) in the role of advisor.

To ensure the fairness of the tournament, the Organizing Committee has made every effort to carefully review and create conditions for truly new athletes to compete in the newbie men's doubles, newbie women's doubles, newbie mixed doubles. The tournament's highlight is also a series of prizes, incentives and gifts, thanks to the contribution of accompanying sponsors. After completing the competition procedures, each athlete will receive an athlete card and gift packages including a 1 million VND voucher from RTD REHAP; a 10% discount on medical examination and treatment services at Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital; a guide to scanning the code and receiving competition photos from Vietnam Sport Photo. In addition, the Organizing Committee has also purchased insurance for all athletes, organizers, and referees participating in the tournament...

The opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 on July 6, the closing award ceremony will take place at 20:00 on July 7, at Lan Anh Club (291 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Ward 12, District 10, HCMC).
