The Director and Deputy Director of the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Health have been disciplined with a warning for their involvement in a case of serious violations of bidding regulations that occurred at the department.
On December 9th, according to sources from Giao Thong Newspaper, the Executive Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee issued a disciplinary decision in the form of a warning against Mr. Bui Quoc Nam, Director of the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Health, for his involvement in a case of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.

In connection with the case, the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has implemented a disciplinary decision in the form of a warning against Mr. Tran Hoai Dao, Deputy Director of the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Health.
Previously, the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Investigation Agency had initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained three suspects: Huynh Thanh Phong (58 years old), Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Health; Le Trong Bang (43 years old), Director of Hop Phu Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company; and Do Manh (41 years old, residing in Hanoi ) to investigate their violations of bidding regulations causing serious consequences.
Simultaneously, the police also initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained suspect Le Minh Tue (59 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City), Director of TD Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Company Limited, to investigate his violations of bidding regulations causing serious consequences and money laundering.
According to the initial investigation, the police determined that the suspect Phong acted in a way that did not ensure fairness and transparency in the bidding process, creating favorable conditions for the joint venture of T&C Hanoi Trading JSC and TD Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. to win the bid, causing damage to the state budget of more than 20 billion VND.
