On February 2, according to information from the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City, on February 1, the People's Committee of this city directed the Department of Education and Training to directly work with the Board of Directors of Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School to thoroughly instruct teachers and students of the whole school not to use social networks to attack or use vulgar words to respond to people who talk about the incident of students bowing to teachers in cars in cold weather.

As Thanh Nien Newspaper reported, the incident of students bowing to teachers in a car in cold weather at Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School has attracted public attention in recent days.

Images circulating on social media show two students standing at the school gate bowing every time their teacher drives into the school in freezing weather.

The truth about students having to stand and bow to teachers in the cold weather in Thanh Hoa

According to Thanh Nien Newspaper's investigation, every morning, before the official school hours, there are usually two students standing at the side gate (only for teachers to enter and exit on Han Thuyen Street) bowing every time a teacher drives a car to school.

There are currently two opposing opinions surrounding this incident. Some people think that forcing students to stand outside in the freezing 10 degree Celsius weather to bow every time a teacher drives into the school is offensive. Because the weather is too cold, while the teacher is sitting in a warm car.

Meanwhile, some others believe that students bowing when seeing teachers or guests coming to school is a polite and respectful act.

The incident seemed to have calmed down after the Principal of Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan, said that the school did not require students to stand at the school gate to bow to teachers, but that the school's red flag team assigned students to be on duty at the gate.

However, since February 1, the issue has "heated up" again when many people believed to be teachers and students of Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School took to Facebook to attack and use vulgar language to curse those who talked about this incident.

The issue, which seemed to have calmed down, "heated up" again when teachers and students took to social media to attack those who talked about the incident.

Initially, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City determined that at least one teacher of Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School had inappropriate words on social networks, causing offense.

Some social media users also said that it was not natural for teachers and students to attack those who talked about the incident on Facebook and raised the question of whether it was directed by the school leadership. However, this issue is being verified by the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee, and there is no basis for confirmation.
