The students' great joy
Bui Tuan Kiet, a 4th-grade student from Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, couldn't hide his excitement. Holding the invitation in his hand, he turned to his mother and said, "Now I have a new bicycle, I can ride to school by myself without having to hitch a ride with friends anymore."
Kiet is a young boy from the countryside of Dong Thap province. He learned to ride a bicycle by the third grade, but his family couldn't afford to buy one. Every day, Kiet would hitch a ride with friends or be driven to school by his mother. Today, his new bicycle is a great joy, opening up new possibilities on his journey to education.
12-year-old Luu Thi Kim Nguyen, a 6th-grade student at Phung Thanh Van Secondary School in Tan Dong commune, Dong Thap province, was also present at the hall early to receive her bicycle and scholarship. Kim Nguyen said that she and her brother only have one bicycle.
"That bicycle was given to my older brother by the school, but it's old and often breaks down, so I wasn't comfortable riding it to school. Now that I have a new bicycle, I'm so happy. I will try my best to go to school regularly without missing classes like my older brother and study hard," Kim Nguyen said.
Each scholarship recipient comes from a different background, but they all share a common spirit of eagerness to learn and a determination to overcome difficulties to attend school. Upon receiving their new bicycles and other gifts, they all expressed joy and a strong resolve to continue their education, despite the challenges ahead.

In the coming years, Agribank will continue to partner with Tuoi Tre newspaper to implement social welfare programs with the motto: Wherever there are poor and disadvantaged students, there will be a program to sow the seeds of knowledge," Mr. Hoa said.
