Find happiness in the simple things.
For the family of Mr. Nguyen Huu Tung (born in 1990) and Ms. Bui Thi Kim Lien (born in 1991), residing in Nhon Hoa Lap commune, happiness doesn't come from grand things but is nurtured by understanding, sharing, and accompanying each other in daily life. Married since 2014, after more than 10 years of marriage, they now have two children. In the early years of their marriage, they faced many difficulties regarding finances , work pressure, and raising their children.
With the unity and responsibility of each member, the family always maintains harmony, warmth, and abundant love. Mr. Tung shared that the secret to maintaining family happiness is mutual respect and listening. Whenever they face difficulties or disagreements in life, he and his wife sit down to discuss and find common ground instead of letting conflicts drag on.

Despite their busy work schedules, the couple still dedicate time to spending time with their children, talking to them, and supporting them in their studies and daily lives. The children are guided to develop good habits, learn to love and respect their grandparents and parents, and live responsibly.
Ms. Lien shared that during the process of raising their children, she and her husband received much support and valuable advice from both sets of grandparents. Their life experiences, family interactions, and child -rearing methods helped them gain more knowledge and skills in caring for and raising their children.
Nguyen Hoang Khanh My (born in 2017) - the daughter of Mr. Tung and Ms. Lien, said: “Every evening, my parents spend time helping me with my homework, reviewing the knowledge I learned in class. In addition, my mother also teaches me English and Computer Science. Thanks to this, I study better and gain more useful knowledge.”
Thanks to the timely care and guidance of their family, both of their children are well-behaved, excel in their studies, and actively participate in school activities. Not only do they achieve good academic results, but they are also highly regarded by their teachers for their sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, and skills in participating in group activities.

Thanks to their efforts in building a happy family and caring for the education of its members, in 2024, the family of Mr. Nguyen Huu Tung and Ms. Bui Thi Kim Lien was recognized as a "Learning Family". This is not only a joy and a source of pride for the family but also a motivation for them to continue nurturing their home and building a healthy living environment for their children.
Reaching out to each other - distance is no longer an obstacle.
From the early days of their acquaintance to their marriage and building a family, Mr. Tran Huynh Nhu (born in 1995, a specialist at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province) and Ms. Tran Thi My Nhat (born in 1994, a doctor at Hong Hung General Hospital) have overcome many difficulties and challenges in life together. Among them, the challenge of a long-distance relationship and living apart after moving in together did not diminish their marital affection but instead strengthened their bond because they knew how to support and share with each other.

In 2019, Mr. Nhu and Ms. Nhat met through social media. Finding they clicked, they decided to meet in person, get to know each other better, and eventually started a romantic relationship. After two years of getting to know each other and feeling they understood each other well, they decided to get married in 2021.
Mr. Nhu said that the period leading up to the wedding coincided with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and he and his wife faced numerous difficulties because they were both officials involved in the fight against the pandemic. Each of them had different duties and worked on different fronts, sometimes requiring them to be quarantined for extended periods.
“During that time, we contacted each other every day to check on each other's health and well-being, and to remind each other to stay safe. The companionship and sharing we shared during that period made us want to be together even more. When the pandemic situation eased, both families held a simple wedding ceremony for us to become husband and wife. The wedding, though simple, was full of unforgettable memories for both of us,” Mr. Nhu shared.
In early 2023, Mr. and Mrs. Nhu received joyful news when their little angel, Xuan Nghi, was born. Their daughter made their family even more complete and close-knit. With their busy work schedules, they try to arrange their time and share the responsibilities of caring for their child.
Sometimes, conflicts and disagreements are unavoidable in family life. During those times, he and his wife always set principles and boundaries to reflect on their own behavior. Mr. Nhu said that when conflicts arise, he is always the one to initiate reconciliation with his wife because, in his view, a marriage should be based on mutual understanding and compromise to last. Therefore, he doesn't let silence or conflict last too long, as that would damage their relationship.
As their small family life gradually stabilized, new obstacles arose. In July 2025, the two provinces of Long An and Tay Ninh merged, and Mr. Nhu was one of the officials transferred to work at the Tay Ninh Provincial Administrative Center in Long An ward. The commute to work was over 120km from home, so he rented accommodation near the office and returned home every Friday afternoon. His wife is currently a doctor in the Emergency Department; her job is often stressful, and her on-call hours are irregular, so the time they spend together with their daughter is no longer as much as before.
Mr. Nhu shared: “When I first decided to work far away, my whole family had many concerns and worries. But what touched me most was that my wife not only encouraged me with words but also directly accompanied me during the first few days of arranging my new life. Later, when she had the time, she brought the children to visit where I was living and working after the merger. For me, those times my wife and children traveled long distances to visit were not just trips, but a great source of encouragement.”

Looking back on their five-year journey together, Ms. Nhat shared: “If I had to use one word to describe my current family, I would say ‘contentment.’ Because after the hustle and bustle of life and work, my husband’s care and support make me feel that family is truly a haven of peace. Home is where I can be myself, without having to hide my weaknesses or fatigue. I feel that life as it is now is enough, and I always cherish what I have.”
According to Mr. Nhu, the secret to maintaining his family's current balance is empathy and a shared vision. Each person has their own work, responsibilities, and pressures, but when they understand that all efforts are aimed at building a better, happier family, the hardships, distances, and shortcomings become motivations for the couple to cherish each other even more.
