With the spirit of "Where there is a need, the youth are there; where there is difficulty, the youth are there," in recent years, the youth union members of Dong Hy district have always strived to compete in carrying out youth projects and tasks. Through this, they have promoted the pioneering role of young people in contributing to the development of their homeland.

Youth union members and young people in Dong Hy district launched a campaign to clean up the environment and build a green, clean, and beautiful homeland.

According to Mr. Nong Khac Huy, Secretary of the Dong Hy District Youth Union: The Dong Hy District Youth Union currently has 4,600 members, operating in 26 affiliated grassroots organizations. Over the years, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union has consistently focused on developing plans and directing all levels of the Youth Union to closely adhere to the key activity programs each year. This includes prioritizing the effective implementation of political , ideological, moral, and cultural lifestyle education for young people; effectively carrying out movements; and promoting the role of youth in building and protecting the Fatherland, building new rural areas, and developing civilized urban areas. Simultaneously, they have implemented activities to inspire, encourage, and motivate young people to foster creativity, engage in economic activities, confidently start businesses, and actively participate in digital transformation…

Upholding the spirit of pioneering and exemplary conduct, youth union branches at all levels in Dong Hy district have carried out many practical activities for the benefit of the community. Specifically, implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind," from 2019-2024, youth union branches throughout the district have donated over 13,000 gifts and many other items with a total value of over 3.2 billion VND; organized 9 programs of medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine distribution for over 800 policy beneficiaries, the elderly, and the poor in the district.

Participating in infrastructure development, landscape improvement, and environmental protection, from 2019-2024, youth union branches at all levels mobilized resources to build 196 youth projects with a total value of 2.5 billion VND, including the construction of 18 new houses for disadvantaged individuals; and the construction of 86km of "Rural Village Lighting Routes".

In addition, the District Youth Union coordinated the organization of over 800 environmental protection activities on the peak days of "Volunteerism for Building New Rural Areas" and "Green Sunday"; and planted 55,000 trees in response to the Tree Planting Festival...

In just the first three months of 2025, the Standing Committee of the Dong Hy District Youth Union organized the inauguration and handover of 7 youth projects with a total support budget of 467 million VND; and commenced the construction of 2 new "New Rural Houses" and "Red Scarf Houses" with a total support budget of 110 million VND... Lang Van Phong, a Dao ethnic minority student in class 2D at Hop Tien Primary School, is one of the cases where the Dong Hy District Youth Union provided 50 million VND in support for house construction.

With the "Youth of Dong Hy actively defending the Fatherland" movement linked to the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign, grassroots youth union branches in the district regularly mobilize union members and young people to actively participate in the movement, establishing and maintaining 15 youth volunteer teams on digital transformation to disseminate information and guide people in installing and using digital applications.

In the first three months of this year alone, youth union branches at all levels have mobilized the establishment of 14 "Popular Education Teams" with 180 participants.

Furthermore, the youth union branches also focused on mobilizing young people to enlist in the military, combating false and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation. 100% of commune and town youth unions coordinated effectively in disseminating information and mobilizing union members and young people to participate in military service. In the 2025 recruitment drive, 103 out of 172 young people volunteered to enlist.

Identifying the program "Supporting young people in establishing themselves and their careers" as one of the key tasks to help improve the lives of union members and young people, over the past four years, the District Youth Union has coordinated career counseling for over 5,000 young people, coordinated job placement and vocational training for over 1,000 young people; and supported young people in accessing loans from the Social Policy Bank to develop their businesses .

As of March 28, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance managed by the Youth Union was nearly 130 billion VND, with 2,686 households borrowing capital. This has contributed to helping many local young people rise up and become legitimately wealthy. The entire district currently has 20 youth-led entrepreneurship models in their hometowns, generating hundreds of millions of VND in income per year and creating jobs for many local workers.

Au Xuan Huu, a young man from Trai Giao hamlet, Nam Hoa commune, is one of the exemplary figures in economic development in the locality.

For example, Mr. Au Xuan Huu, from Trai Giao hamlet, Nam Hoa commune, is one of the exemplary young people in the economic development movement. Mr. Huu said: "Thanks to a loan from the District Social Policy Bank through the guarantee of the Commune Youth Union, I have the funds to develop livestock farming. Currently, I raise 10,000 white chickens and 200 pigs, earning an average profit of 250-450 million VND/year, creating jobs for 5 seasonal workers..."

The above results show that the youth union members of Dong Hy district have been affirming their capabilities, pioneering role, and dedication of their youthful energy in all fields. Speaking about future goals, Mr. Nong Khac Huy added: "We will continue to regularly and enthusiastically implement volunteer activities for the community, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; supporting young people in establishing themselves, their careers, and starting businesses… through various practical and effective projects and tasks."
