Hanoi and northern Vietnam experience reduced rainfall.

According to Vietnamese and international weather forecast models, Hanoi and many areas in the North will still experience rain today, October 1st, but it will gradually dry up from tomorrow onwards.

According to updated data from the European Centre for Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), today, October 1st, Hanoi and the northern region will experience cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms, more concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

Hanoi has reduced the intensity of the rain, but the Day River is rising rapidly, and the Dai Thanh pedestrian bridge on the west side is currently submerged.

JMA warned of high humidity in Hanoi, potentially leading to localized rain showers, while NOAA forecasts cloudy skies and intermittent rain in Hanoi. Sunny and dry weather is expected to return to Hanoi from tomorrow.

Conversely, in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, JMA and ECMWF forecast sunny weather in the morning and early afternoon, with temperatures potentially reaching 33 to 34 degrees Celsius. Short showers and localized thunderstorms may occur from mid to late afternoon. NOAA's model forecasts sunny weather in the Tan Son Nhat airport area in the morning, but includes a warning of rain in the late afternoon and evening.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on the morning of October 1st, the North and Thanh Hoa still experienced moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. From the afternoon of October 1st, this area still had scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, but the intensity was not as high as in the morning.

The area from Nghe An to Hue City and the South Central coastal region will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms. The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas this afternoon and evening.
