Rainfall in Hanoi and the North has decreased.

Vietnam and international weather forecast models predict that today, October 1, Hanoi and many places in the North will still have rain, but it will gradually clear up from tomorrow.

According to updated data from the European Center for Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), today, October 1, in Hanoi and the Northern region, there will be many clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms, more concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

The rain in Hanoi has decreased but the Day River is rising rapidly, and Dai Thanh bridge in the West is being flooded.

JMA warns of high humidity in Hanoi, causing localized rains, while NOAA forecasts cloudy weather and intermittent rain in Hanoi. From tomorrow, Hanoi will be sunny again.

Floodwaters from the Day River have submerged Dai Thanh Bridge connecting Hung Dao and An Khanh communes, on the morning of October 1.

In contrast, in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, JMA and ECMWF forecast a sunny trend in the morning and early afternoon, with temperatures reaching 33 to 34 degrees Celsius. From mid to late afternoon, there may be short showers and local thunderstorms. NOAA's model forecasts weather in the Tan Son Nhat airport area with sunny morning data, but with rain warnings in the evening.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of October 1, the North and Thanh Hoa still had moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain. From the afternoon of October 1, this area still had scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain, but the level was not as high as in the morning.

The area from Nghe An to Hue City and the South Central Coast will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. The Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places this afternoon and evening.
